When i am doing a Braz should i put oil in the inside and out?... or should i only put it where i dont want to wax?.. I did a little self mutilation...lol... got a few grazes on the pink bits... i really am worried now that i got a "dumb arse" teacher.... please girls help me I am not going to sleep with worry now that i have got it alll very wrong.

Kim Lawless aka The Wax Queen

Get a training day with her she's well priced and will show you how to do a real hollywood. They are not easy and i would never try and describe the technique but train with her and there will be no grazes, no burns etc. I trained with her and it's amazing! People are telling me they've never had such an amazing job with so little pain! AND THERE ARE NO HAIRS LEFT!

As for the oil it acts as a lipid barrier between the skin and wax. Just a light layer. For best results use a hard wax like Perron Rigot Euroblonde

The original poster is based in Australia and Kim in the UK.....thats a heck of a long way to go for a training course!

Ha Ha good Point! I'm on another planet today just ignore me!

I use hives azulene oil after waxing!

With strip wax its common for some layers of skin to be removed and can result in a bit of sensitivity for 24 hours and as the skin heals if you dont moisturise, then you will get dry skin there.

To be quite frank if your not confident with your technique then I wouldnt go ahead and do a client. Maybe see if you can do another training course or perhaps get all your friends in to practice on until your 100% confident.

Thanks guys...
I will look into a prof training course.. Might have to travel to sydney to do it... you know it is so weird that you get trained and pay $1000 for a waxing course and then you come on this site and read the posts and it is completly dif to what your teacher taught you.... it was the same with my nails.... learn;t heaps more on here than the $2200 course i did...... it is a shame that we can't all meet up and share our thoughts and experience..
Thanks for your help.

This should not be happening with strip wax.

As for the original question. Apply oil everywhere you intend of waxing. It acts as a barrier between wax and skin.

well I have just finsihed with my new manicure strawberry braz hot wax.... oiled before hand and the girls are now bare..... no skin missing and not that much pain to tell you the truth.... once i got the hang of the thickness and to over lap it into a bare patch it didn't take long at all... I now beleive that you really do get what you pay for in terms of quality with the wax....

There were a few times where the wax was a little brittle and hard to get off... ouch... but i think that was because i tried to get to much off at once and a few times it ran over onto that ligament that runs half way so i guess you go either side of that..

Is there a defference between oils?... I have a post wax oil but it seems to do the trick... any one got any other tips for me..?
thanks for all those who have helped me out with this issue... I am going to have a try on my girlfriend ( she doesn't know this as yet!) and i will let you know how i do..

thanks again

Contact Lycon. Precision Waxing with Lycon
I did a Brazillian waxing class with them when I was at college. They have distributers everywhere so they might be able to organise a training day near you.

Ok thanks for that I will look into that... I have a Lycon dist here in wollongong so i will call them and ask when the next one is running..

Do you use Lycon?.. I almost bought that one today but I ended up with the Manicure Braz Strawberry xxx wax.... have you tried it?... if so what did you think?

I've neve heard of manicure.........could it be Mancine? If it is, it's an okay range. Nothing to rave about, but nothing to whinge about either................Now lycon, LOVE IT. Great quality, and one of the few that does training.

I agree.
Now i dont do intimate waxing to the extreme but surely you shouldn't accept that skin will come off unless you mean the normal dead skin.If grazing is left then this can lead to infection never mind the discomfort.
Maybe this is the main reason to use hot wax.

Lycon...... bugger that was the other one that i was going to try but i put it back on the shelf cause the other one looked prettier and the Lycon looked like older stock....
I will try that one next.... is it the Lycojet one?...

Lycojet is thinner, it's geat for doing large areas but the technique is a bit different. Try the Rosette and get some of the pre waxing oil.
