i did a mates nails the other day, a couple of days after she came and said that her index finger had chipped on the corner so i repaired it, a couple of days later it happened again on the same finger, now, when i had a good look it wasnt a break it looked definatly to me like it had been in the way of a sharp knife ( shes a cook !!!) i said to her to have a look at it and shel'l be able to see what i ment but she wouldnt have it she said it had definatly broken but i could see the clean, slanted, definate knife (or grated ! ) corner ! now my question is when someone does this to you do you argue the toss or just let it go ? :rolleyes:

I give them facts with a big smile...:lol:

It fell off

"I'm sorry to hear that, lets have a look and get it sorted for you. There is some damage on your natural nail where the enhancement has broken off be it knocked or banged...sometimes we don't realise at the time that we have done so, but not to worry I'll soon have it looking like new again"

I sliced the corner of my nail the other day peeling potatoes with my little boy so she probably has caused them herself, either way charge her.
It shouldn't really matter how these things happen as long as it's not to do with your application, if a client takes your time then they should pay.
Friends are always the worst clients :lol:

:lol: this made me laugh.
i always hate it when it comes to a repair job because it doesnt matter who the client is they always expect it done for free even though you do print this on your price list.x

:lol::lol: Thats funny!!

When i worked in a restraunt you couldn't wear false nails or any sort, not even nail polish.. so god knows where she works! as as for the nail who's eaten the end of it!! :irked:uuhh i shudder to think.
But i would def tell her that next time you will have to charge her for a replacment nail, then she might be bit more carful.
See Ya
