Hi,
I completed a basic waxing then an advanced waxing course earlier this later, I have just been waxing myself and family using salon services products. In January I am moving to Australia and going to start waxing actual customers from home. I have more experience with the warm wax so am going to use that to start with. I'll just be doing the usual, brows, legs, underarms, bikini, and maybe a thong wax. I've heard the perron rigot products are very good quality but was not sure which to get. I will buy a hot wax one as well just for personal use to get more familiar with that, so if someone could recommend both that would be very helpful!
thanx

Hi
Peron Rigot have a variety of strip and non strip waxes. At present, I use the Cristal Ocean strip wax. Its hypoallergenic and comes in a 800g tin.
There are others that you can use.

Probably best to speak to Thalgo who stocks Peron Rigot waxes on: 020 751 0872. Alternatively, Kim Lawless, the Wax Queen would be able to give you advice on the waxes before you buy.:)

I also use the Cristal Ocean strip wax. It leaves the skin less sticky and less red bumps than other strip waxes.

Order through Thalgo its cheaper than Beauty Express.

Cristal Ocean for strip and Euroblonde for hot wax. However, if you're going to use it in Australia, you might prefer Escencial Roase by Perron Rigot as it sets super fast. xx

thanks heaps, cristal ocean & esencial roase it is then!

Just add that the wax that I mean is the white beads. make sure you say that when you order as a lot of the Perron Rigot waxes have the work Rose in. xx

Have to say I wasn't that keen on Cristal Ocean ... maybe its just me, but I like to be able to see the wax as it goes on.

I really like using Cristal Ocean. I goes on so thinly and evenly and doesn't leave the skin as spotty.

I just can't get along with Cristal Ocean.. always found it too sticky. It does go on very thinly though. I personally prefer Berins Ease which is a cream wax and so beautiful to use.

We all have our favourites I guess :O)

It's no secret which wax I prefer!

However - to the original poster - do you know which waxes are available in Oz?

If I were you I would re-title the thread or start a new one asking Australian geeks for their recommendations. Just a thought.

Good point from Zoe ... the products are sometimes given different names in different countries.

thanks, shall have a look at the Australian sites and see what I can find!

Hi Zoe,

Some people seem to decant 'pot waxes' into cartridges to use with rollers, would Berins Ease work with a roller?

Thanks, Karen

I do know of someone who does this, so I assume it is possible, and works. However, I have never tried it myself. I am a bit of a spatula fan!

Hi Zoe - perhaps you could suggest to Lori that she does roller cartridges with something like Ease. I have only found one roller wax that does not dry out quickly that fits the C&E heater.:)
