Has anyone else heard about this. Apparently its gonna happen over the weekend, but I dont know for how long.
hHpe its not too long as I pick my new tigra up next wednesday/thursday and cant be a strike going on, I need full tank to cruise the town and show off

My hubby is a petrol tanker driver and there are no talks of a strike yet in the refinery he loads out of!
He delivers for Shell, they are work as normal as far as he knows!

If he does here anything though I will update you all!!

xxxxxxxx

O no, I really hope there is no petrol strike, I will have to drink lots of red bull and grow wings. No shops for miles where I live, it will be me and just the lambs

Dont worry all you English geeks, its not a petrol strike in England, just a Refinery in Scotland that is going on strike, so its just us Scottish geeks who will be affected.

Though they are saying if you just buy your petrol/desel as you normally do then there wont be any probs as they UK as a whole has a stockpile to cover any shortfall.

On Tuesday my wife (bless her) went to town (Aberdeen) and after I had shown and explained where the petrol goes into the car (only had it for two years so this was a new experiance for her ) off she went all full of knowledge...
Whilst she was able to fill up the petrol station confirmed that they would soon be running out of petrol.
What a shame...Britta having just learned how to put the petrol in the car soon maybe unabel to buy any more :lol::eek::lol::lol:

My Father-In-Law phone me a little while ago.
He picked up his new car today and the salesman at the dealership said the petrol stations in our town were starting to run out and a couple actually had.
He's a good friend of my hubbies so we know we can trust this info.
I've just filled up mainly because I was running on empty anyway, just did today instead of tomorrow when I normally do it.

Sainsburys in my town was shut yesterday, they ran out of deisel saturday and im now guessing they are out of petrol as they had A boards at both entrances along with cones blocking it off.:irked:

Ive also noticed a few placing a £20 per customer per visit limit and also week before last it was 103.7 and its now 109.9.

At this rate i'll be getting a motorised scooter with a cart on the back for cj

well were house hunting right now and from sat morning through to Sunday eve drove over 1200 miles on a round robin trip from Aberdeen ..down to North East England...across to the lakes and up through west coast to Glasgow and then East back to Aberdeen...phew...oh and a good few pub lunches in btween.
Seems North East England we could get petrol however forecourt attendants said they would be running low and possibly out shortly.
Scotland seems to be most effected as about 50% of Perlol stations had no petrol at all...some only had deisle.

Perhaps not the best time to go running around the country right now:hug:

well i left the house this morning , with only enough fumes to get to school, Not back lol , got to forecourt 4 out of 6 diesel pumps had not in use on them, had to sit in queue to get petrol, and when i asked the attendant he said sat was a nightmare people were queuing for miles!!!! cos they were panic buying, he reckons another delivery is due this afternoon, but if everyone is panick buying how long will it last, i do 30 miles just to school and back, never mind any clients, shopping or after shcool stuff i have to do, and ive got to go to CND in leigh tomorrow so there had better be some left at end of week pmsl

xx
