Go to Amazon.co.uk and type in Debra Lynn Practice Hand which is where Google took me after I read this topic. xx

Sorry i dont have one but it does look a bit like the 'practice finger' you can get from sparkly nails which comes with a few slide in tips and replacements available to order too. I dont have one of these either but thought it may be worth a try to see if these tips fit ..... Sparkly Nails - Nail Art Supplies - Nail Art Accessories

Blu-Tak! Thats what I used to use when practising :)
Sometimes I didnt even use a practise hand or finger either, just blu-tacking a tip to the top of a nail enamel bottle works fine too.

Have to agree, blu tak is probably best

I have a nail trainer from ages ago, but i found it a bit of a hassle getting it out evertytime and getting the nails to go with it.

I love blue tack)))

I use a practice finger, i have two different one - one is used for sculpts, you need to paint a coat of UV30 from ezflow or any clear topcoat , so you can easily remove the sculpted nail away. And another one that could be used with tips, any tip could slide in, it stays on great and easily slides out when you need to change it. Costs 99 p per finger.

Another way, probably mostly suitable for sampling designs - i put a small dry bead of clear acrylic on the back of the tip and insert a pin into the bead, let it set and ready to use, i then pin them into a buffer block or whatever is there to pin it to)))

hope this helps:)

What a great idea will have to try this one.

I use blutak with the medium sized popsicle/waxing/craft sticks and tips. Works just fine, I can do sculpting on it with a paper form as well (just place the nail up flush to the end of the stick).

I have a couple of the practice fingers and just used any old cheap tips with a little bit of blue tac on.

Other than this I fix a tip to the end of an orange stick by using a bead of clear gel and curing it in my lamp. This way the tip doesn't come off the blue the orange stick.

I use the practice fingers but I also bluetack tips to the end of the handle of my spare brush.

Thankyou all so much for you advise it seems that blu tack is most definatley the way forward !!! will give it a go and thanks again x

Oh that's brilliant... craft sticks and blue sticky-tack! Great idea!

I have just remembered another method - this wee stand that is used to hold the finger during airbrushing, blutack in the middle and attach tip)))
