Does anybody use them, and if so do you like them? If not, what do you use instead and why?

I believe the range you have asked about has a good reputation and like the CND range has the advantage of being 3 Free! This means it contains no Formaldehyde resin, no Toluene and no . DBP (Dibutyl Phthalate) is all good.

Personally I use the new CND Colour & Effects range. This range is also 3 free and a very new concept whereby if you buy the collection of 50 colours and 15 effects, you will have over 800 different polish colours to offer to your clients. This means a smaller outlay for you .. a smaller holding of stock but with a larger palette of colours for your clients than you would normally be able to stock. Here is just one example to look at.

CND Effects over CND Oil Slick - The Nailphile

Amazing.

and this will tell you all about them. Salon Geek - The Colour Revolution Starts Here!!!!

Hi there, yes I have used Sparitual and love them. There is not such a great range of darker colours but they have plenty of pales and the darker ones are really lovely. They are 3 free as Gigi has stated.

I use mainly OPI, Sparitual and some CND all are great quality and last a very long time if applied properly. :D

Thank you for the replies and geeg thank you for the links, they look great!

Hi, i use sparitual and i really like them, although i do find that some of the paler shades can be a little thin. HTH xx

I was always used to using either Jessica or OPI when I first tried the Sparitual polishes. I didn't use them again as I found them not as easy to work with. I don't know if this was just because I was used to my usual brands though!!

What was it that you found difficult? I have used OPI for 15 years and had no problem at all with Sparitual. As someone else said the paler colours sometimes seem thin but they are the sheer ones which are supposed to be this way.

I still felt I managed well with them, just didn't feel they went on as nicely IMO; i.e. ease of application, coverage etc...

I only used them a few times whilst covering in a salon briefly as a favour to a friend.

Just my first impressions and opinions of the polish thats all - having said that the salon I covered at didn't look like they took care of their polishes very well.

Could have been that but could also have been a different brush. The brushes are different depending on brands. When OPI changed their brushes I found them odd at first but am ok now with them.

Interesting stuff. I think I'll get a few sparituals and a few effects then decide that way but thanks for all the info xxx

I didn't think they were toluene free. I'm pretty sure it says somewhere on the website that they arent. Could have changed since I last looked though.

Ah, just checked, it says toluene free on nsi website but says it isnt on the sparitual website.

Essentia on here uses SpaRitual. I'm fairly sure she's very happy with them!

I love spa ritual and so do my clients which is the imprtant thing !:)
They brought out a new range at xmas with some fab darker colours.
If you cantact NSI they will send you a brochure with the colour charts in them and then all you have to do is choose between all of them

Yes I surely do! I do not get the earlier post that they do not have many darker shades! Check out Drop Dead Gorgeous, Death by Chocolate and one of my all time favourites Stilleto just for starters. Again product choice is so personal but they have a lovely range, very eco conscious and do very pretty gift sets. I think with every new product, the therapist has to get used to application technique etc and Spa Ritual is no different.

At my spa we use SpaRitual. I am not a fan. I much prefer Zoya. Zoya is almost 45% cheaper, has much better selection of colors IMO, and their bottles aren't bulky. SpaRitual's bottles are very round and "fat", and their lids are bulky as well. The rubberized grip is nice, but I much prefer Zoya's smaller lid. These are just personal preference though; much like personal preference as to which brush to use with l&p.

I have been trying for quite some time to get the owner to switch over. lol

I've noticed issue with thickening after some time...Even though I use thinner and keep the necks clean, after a while they just thicken up. Usually these are the most used colors, however. They do have some very pretty colors, but some colors can be a bit blah, or just weird. Like Mystic. We received two bottles with the collection and it hasn't moved. I tried it on my nail, and thought it gross. lol Showed dbf and said, "I'd like your opinion on this nail color", and showed him. He took all but two seconds to say, "I don't like it."

Anyways, this is just my opinion. I have also found wear time not what I expect. I can maybe go two days without chipping. By day three I have big chips on some nails. With Zoya I get barely any chipping by day 5. HTH! :)

Yep, it is all about personal preference, I recently bought several of the sparitual laquers for the first time and I'm in love with the bottles, I think they're adorable! And the rubber grips are great! French manicures are easy peasy too with the thinner brush.:p
