I agree! I don't mind what's clearly a type-o, it happens to the best of us. We're tired or rushed..whatever.
But sometimes, some posts are just too painful for me to read because they are so riddled with errors, I'm distracted by the errors and don't focus on the subject. And some errors... WOW:eek:

I appreciate that we have many here for whom english is not their first language. I get it, and I congratulate them on their efforts. Heck, my written french is riddled with errors, so I can't point fingers at people writing in their second language.

We've had many threads on this subject: spelling, grammar, spelling tools... I don't imagine that this one will change anything.

Great tool to mention, Carl, but I think your suggestion will fall on deaf ears.

I use Firefox too.

Please do not turn this thread into yet another b*tchfest about spelling and grammar, we have been there, done that and frankly the t-shirt is getting rather tight!

am dyslexic, problem with me is that i spell a word and it 'looks' right but of course it isnt. or the other way round, i can spell something and think it looks wrong but it isnt..... its very annoying, I find myself arguing with spellchecker on my computer sometimes!

Joking aside I'm a fan of anything that helps people with spelling:)

Ok stupid question here that I should probably know the answer to - I use IE, so where do I find the spell check? :o

Thanks Nail zoo, I to use firefox on my home computer, but its good to know another one as a back up for another machine:hug:

The thread is more about the browser itself, it looks cool, performs well, it's very fast, the fact it has an auto spell checker (as you type) is brilliant.

Try installing it, give it a whirl and see what you think.

No harm done in trying something new is there ?

I'm using the Google browser which also spell checks for me as I go along. I tried Safari a while back and didn't get along with it, I'll take another peek though!
