I seem to remember reading that you cannot spray tan someone and also perform a lash or brow tint on the same day.

Now I presume that if you tan them first then of course you could not then apply vaseline to the skin. I just wondered if you could carry out the tint and afterwards remove all traces of vaseline with a facial wipe, then proceed with tan?

Or is there another reason that this is a no no, that I have missed?

Thanks in advance x

I can't think of any reason not to do them both together, but definitely tint first :)

I've done an eyelash tint and spray tan - tint I did first.

Same here.. do the tint first, tan 2nd. Just make sure that the clients eyes are not watering before you commence with the tan, and make sure you have cleared away any traces of vasaline or which ever product you use to protect the eyes when tinting.

I was trained by Sienna-x & we were told not to tint on same day as a precaution in case there was an adverse reaction from applying tan immediately after the tint process.

Do you think this is incorrect?

Would be handy to know if it's not right as I have been asked a few times to do both at same time & have been saying no.

DON'T DO IT!!!!! I did it on my boyfriend and his eyebrows went Green!!!!!

Sorry to put a dampner on the thread but it happened to me and he had to shave his brows off! I would have cried if it was a client!

Theres a chance it could be OK. But there is that chance of it going wrong, I would never risk it again! I did the tint first too!

Thanks for all your replies.

I guess to prevent the brows going green you could perhaps re-apply vaseline as a barrier? I would imagine that the lashes would not go green, just the brows?

I would also like to ask. Can you spray tan just after a brow wax. I thought that maybe the tan would settle in the open pores so this would not be possible? Hence the "do hair removal 24 hrs before rule".

Any previous experience of either tinting or waxing before spray tanning would be great!

Thanks x

No you can not spray tan after a brow wax (for the reason you gave)
spray tan 24hrs after shaving
spray tan 48hrs after any waxing hth

A bit drastic to shave off the eyebrows isnt it?:eek: Even if they had gone green... you could have tinted them again the next day.

I have tinted then tanned on many MANY occasions with no adverse reactions.

Does it always have to be 48 hours after waxing before a spray tan can be done?

I am waxing a clients tomorrow night and she is returning the following night for a spray tan. I will be doing half leg, bikini and top lip.

Do you think this will be ok?

24 hours is more than enough I tan clients in this timescale and it's fine xx

For waxing it's usually 24-48 hours that is recommended, I never heard not to tan and lash tint on same day but yea with brows they can go green. I done someone's brows one day and she put on tan at home afterwards, I told her to try putting a cream cleanser on her brows for a few mins and then wipe off and it took most of the tinge away! I think it's more the sort of excess tint that goes green but that's just my own thoughts so I could be wrong 😄
