Hi there!

I'm pretty new to the site but am amazed by how much I have already found out from reading various threads on here!

I am currently deciding what the best route through training is. From what I've found out so far I think my best bet is to do NVQ's and then train with Creative.

Ultimately I aim to have my own nail salon and take part in competitions etc so want to train to a high standard, with a view to maybe having beauty therapy rooms. Basically I'm pretty open minded although I want to focus on nails myself.

I'm hoping to start training this summer (as I'm still at uni at the mo) and carry on training while I work (as I have to do something to pay off student debt/finance my training).

Can anyone out there steer me in the right direction or just tell me about what they did pleeeaaassse? I would be really grateful for any suggestions!

hi welcome to the site !! there are so many courses im still training in gel i love nails , the pros on here will give you loads of help

Looking to update my training, not sure what training to do and who with. Recently I have been very impressed with Ezflow and the attention they have given me. Only thing is i'me in Lincolnshire and to be honest any training is miles...............away. Any advice!

Have you researched other companies?

Well I would go for it...but then I am kind of biased!!! :o

I really feel that distance is no object when good training is at the other end!
I know plenty geeks on here feel the same, and have travelled a fair distance to train with a certain person or company, to get the results they want.

Sometime when you settle for something less or different from what you actually wanted , you always end up feeling a little short changed.....and no one likes to think 'what if' or 'if only'...do they??

Hi,
I am new to this site and know you must get asked this all the time, but i have been looking for a while now for the best way to train as a nail tech. I live in cardiff and wondered if anybody could advise me. I have ruled out any of the home learning courses and now cant decide between college or a company called Nail Divas who offer the 5 day courses
I have no experience in anything to do with nails so need to start from the very beginning, any advice please??????? :)

If it's what you really want, I'd say go for it if you possibly can. I've done some training with ezflow and can really recommend it. :)

hi and welcome to the site.:)
if you do a search on here you will find loads of threads about the same subject.try typing 'who should i train with' this is just an example for you to try but there will be lots of other ones aswell.hth and good luck

Hi and welcome to the site, I would also do a search there is loads on here about who to train with.

Thanks for a quick reply, i have found this site really helpful so far, but there doesnt seem to be many people from my area, i will keep looking, thanks again :)

Contact the most popular nail companies and ask them if they offer training in your area.
EZFlow, Creative (Sweet Squared), Young Nails and NSI, they all offer foundation courses and are well respected.

Thanks Sandi, i will give them a call tomorrow

well put, you are looking to invest after all

i've had some great training with ezflow.
i always have to travel wherever i train as its never nearby, i dont drive either so its always a lot of effort. i even went to america once for training.
i've never regretted it once, its all been of benefit in one way or another.

HI
I'm looking to do training in my salon either myself or 1 of the girls that work for me. She used to do training for Associate Nails. I was just wondering if there is anything I need to do first before I start?

I have just got a job in a salon and they offer Brisa and Calgel. The Calgel is more popular now but there are still one or two clients using the Brisa gel so I want to get trained in that properly.

Do they have a website where I can look at the training information and products and maybe buy a sample kit of Brisa Gel??

Thanks

Debs x

You would need to ring Sweet Sqaured...they can send you all the info you need, but no i don't think they do a sample kit.

(thanks adele..)

I have never gone for the easy or cheap option when it comes to great training and believe me, with EZ Flow, you get excellent training!

My trainer is always on the end of a phone or email and will help me when ever i ask her. I just love the support this company have given me and highly recommend them.

(i'm not on commission honest....lol:) wish i was)

Thanks, have just dug out an old creative nail folio and the gel training is quite a bit more expensive. Is there a particular reason for this?

More expensive than what, I'm a bit confused

The conversion course includes the training, kit and lamp :)
