Help!!!! I have just done the most silly thing ever!!! I went to top up my wax pot with Peron Rigot out if the tin. I tipped it upside down and left it...kept checking it as knew it wouldn't all fit in.
Well you can prob guess what happened next....I forgot about it and its overflowed!!!!!
I'm just worried as its gone into the part under the actual Pot (its a Hive Heater) Shall i just wipe it out with bed roll? Its quite runny there.
Any other suggestions.............

What a blonde!!!!

Sorry but I had to laugh, it's the sort of thing I'd do!

Do you mean it's gone under the inner bucket that you lift out? If so, yes just lift it out and mop it out with couch roll. It's easier to do it while it's warm, but be careful not to touch the metal sides or you'll burn yourself (guess who's done that too? )
Then when you've got the worst of it out, give it a wipe with wax equipment cleaner on wax strips.

Oh no!!! Silly you lol We have all done it and hey...at least you didnt get it stuck to someone's carpet!!

Warm the pot up and scrape the bulk of wax off with a spatula. Have you got any oil? Tip that in and leave for a few seconds and wipe out with couch roll.....and your wax pot will never have been so clean lol
You wont be doing that again. What a pain! xxx

Thanks both of you. The worst of it was I kept thinking right I must keep an eye on that!!! And I don't blame you for laughing either!!!

I am the same with everything ...the amount of times I have left my bath running only to find water coming through the celling! I just blame it on blonde moments...works a treat ha ha  xxx

I've done that a couple of times, and I'm not blonde!! I take the inner pot out, wipe it over, hang it up for a moment & pour the runny wax out of the heater into a bag lined with old couch roll. I then wipe around the inside of the pot whilst it's hot with couch roll & try not to burn myself...too much!

You would have been better off taking the bucket out and putting the whole new tin in the heater. Then when the level dropped enough you could have amalgamated the two half empty pots.

This is what I used to do with PR when I used that wax.

Ha Ha, poor you. Yup i remember doing that.

When the pots heated up,take the inner pot out with a cloth so you don't burn yourself and use a spatula to scrape out what you can. Afterwards, unplug it (no electric shocks) and use one of those metal scouring pads that already have soap in. They cost 39p for a pack of 10 in Wilkinsons. Run them under the tap and scrub. They work miracles!

Good Luck hun xxx

Easy done. Just take the bucket out (which you should be doing regularly anyway), turn the heat on full and scrunch up some couch roll and poke it down to the bottom so that it mops up the wax. Keep stirring couch roll around the sides and bottom with a spatula until all the wax has been soaked up. Then spray your solvent and do the same again until it's clean. xxx:hug:
