Hi I trained with tips from creative with wells, natural that were blended into the nail, then put either pink or french acylic, but im confused as i saw some people use tips with no wells, just glued on then acylic on top, !!
What tips do you lot prefer, well or no wells, and do you use french tips for french acylic or natural
Ive done creative course, plus nvq3, but not done nails for about a year, so need to get some more tips, but just confused, and would like some advice before i purchase box
Thanks

If you done the Creative course than you would have received the workbook. All types of tips are described there, what tips to use on what type of natural nail.

Refer to Gigis Nail Class book as well. It's perfectly described there.

I love well-less tips and just spent a day in the factory today.
Many were gobsmacked that I file in the ears (the sides), just a very small bit.
I buff them in (about one or 2 strokes) in a forward motion, this stops little white lines.
My reason for doing this is on a very small level.
I figure when I do the acrylic it actually encapsulates the tip, rather than having a step in the side of the nail, which technically would not be covered with acrylic, would be thin in that area and lead to lack of strength, or should I say "a weak spot" which was plastic tip not covered (or very thinly covered) in acrylic.

Think about it !!!!

Ok, my nail course was years ago, and so have no manuals, it was just a query what you all prefer with tips, i use creative french and natural with the small well, always used those, but have seen ladies use the well-less ones and wondered are they better! quicker!
Many thanks

I use Pro impressions well less tips they are great, much quicker imo, pop them on a quick buff over and your good to go, I do as nailzoo does and buff forward and very lightly buff off the ears, takes seconds, I have used full well and keep some in stock just in case but havnt used them for prob over a year, HTH x

I love well less tips but I do use both well and no well depending on the nail it is going on.

Get a sample pack from a wholesaleres and try.
I use Pro Impressions well less tips in clear.

well less are better as long as the natural nail does not need any correction (eg flat, curved or damaged). They need little buffing with gel, but are ready to use with L&P. I prefer Perfomance tips. I use all three depends on what I am doing. If you need to extend the nail bed than it's better to use clear ones, so it will look attractive under the nail when it grows.

I also use Eclipse tips for clients whose nails have dip in the apex area. Eclipse provides a lovely apex and c-curve.

Ring Sweet Squared you will be able to get the workbook. It has lots of information on products and application. Due to the industry development you
will find some changes.

I am sure there is an article on this site as well.

Hope this helps.

There is no "better or worse" between tips with wells or well-less tips. It is "horses for courses". Sometimes you need the well and sometimes you don't.

CND well-less PERFORMANCE tips are the absolute best I have ever tried .. they are made of a new material that
1. sticks incredibly well to the nail and
2. lasts much longer than other well-less tips,
3. they are also pre-blended so no need to blend unless you want to use Carl's (nailzoo's trick above) ..
4. very nice colouration so they do not look like fake fluorescent porn star nails

You can buy cheap tips without wells and suffer from 'curling' and looking fake and having to blend but personally I have not got time for problems like that in my nail business. CND Performance tips are problem free.

Gigi, I love point number 4 - WAG like nails as some clients call it.

And also correction to my below post - it's FORMATION tips I use for clients with a dip. Eclipse is used for hard to fit nails and nails with deep side walls. I beg you pardon for not correct information.
:D

I used performance well less tips this weekend for the 1st time and they are so simple, I'm new to nails and these were so easy for me to work with, no worrying about blending etc and they are lovely and thin.

Good luck)) You going to absolutely love Brisa)))

I’m getting back into this after about 10 years I was gonna change lines but I was trained in Brisa so I may just stay put. I use them for my polish so I think I should maybe just stay. Thanks for tips advise.
