i have a friend who is coming for an eyebrow wax, eyebrow tint, eyelash perm and eyelash tint. what do i do first?]

not sure of the order!!

thanks

OK, so you need to do the perm first, then the tinting, then the waxing. If you did the waxing first you wouldn't be able to tint because you've opened up the pores, and if you've used warm wax you may have taken off the v top layer of skin cells.

thanks 4 ur help

Yep, always do the perm first and then the tint! It makes it slightly more difficult because the lashes are curled so it's a bit more tricky to get the tint on. But if you do it the other way round the perm won't take!!

If you tint then perm it takes off the tint, it goes kinda a red colour too (or at least with blue/black)...don't ask how I know...

Hi you can do the perming first but then you have to wait 24hrs before you can do the tint. Don't forget to do the skin test as well. You the proceed with the brow and lash tint

You must always do the perm first.
Alot of of companies don't recommend you perm and tint on the same day you need to check that the products you use are made to let you do this.
I use Thuya products they have a treatment called 'Curl Up And Dye' which is a perm and tint treatment.

Hi

when i was trained for eyelash perming i was taught to do the perm first. as the perm can fade the lash colour, so perm first then tint. always tint test 24 hours before and check instructions for perm kit in case it advises otherwise.
also since the perm takes quite a bit of time you can tint the eyebrows when the perm is on the lashes (provided you know the colour) and also wax the eyebrows, check that your client is ok with that and won't open her eyes.
i have did this many times and to do this separately would add a lot of valuable time.
hope this helps
marlo

I agree this how I was taught and it makes sense and works too

I agree with the above threads,
you shouldnt tint and perm lashes on the same day as it is also "chemical overload"
Always do patch tests for tinting and perming at least 24hrs prior.
I would perm lashes,
Tint eyebrows while lashes are being permed,
after perming is complete THEN wax eyebrows (not while lashes are being permed as some clients may flinch, and some eyes may water, and dont think it is a good idea whilst the perm is in process)
Then the next day tint the lashes.

Thuya products are specifically designed so that you can, theoretically perm and tint on the same day. Whether your insurance company agrees is another matter altogether...

I would perm first. I always leave it 2 weeks until i tint, simply because both the perm and the tint will break down the hair. The client will come back and i'll tint the eyelashes and whilst that is taking i tint the brows then i will wax. I really would advise against waxing while your perming solution is on the eye as some clients eyes water during waxing. Irrigating the eye whilst doing a perm is a nightmare because the lashes usually unstick and you have to start all over again

As said before Thuya products are designed to be used in the same treatment.
Tonight I did a Eyelash and Eyebrow Perm then an Eyelash Tint ending with an Eyebrow wax.
I have been doing this client for over a year with no problems what so ever her tint and perm both lasts for up to 8 weeks with no problems.
She doesn't have a higher amount of hair loss or damage to some one who has the treatments done separately.

You need to use your product as directed and if it says wait then you wait.

Wow is this a new thing?
I have never had anyone wanting an eyebrow perm!
Why would anyone want curly eyebrows?
Do you do many eyebrow perms?
Sorry for all the questions just sounds really weird to me!:irked:

I've been getting my lashes permed and tinted on the same day regularly for about 2 years and no adverse reactions. I was taught that this was Ok.
The lash tint isn't so strong that it will break the hairs. It's not head-hair strength.
I never wax brows when perming or tinting lashes, as not matter how gentle I try to be, the client always winces a bit. Some clients sneeze, screw up their eyes or get a bit teary which would be a nightmare with perm lotion or tint

I would perm & tint same day as no prob with any products I have used and as mentioned Thuya is designed for the purpose.
So perm lashes & brows , if Req, (Can subtly alter arch of brow).
tint both, as req.
wax anything left you dont like the look of, No! seriously. Are we ladies just a little obsessed?
xx
But agree with above & would not do the waxing whilst the tint is on.

 I dont curl the eyebrow I straighten it!
She has a scar in the middle of her brow so the hair tends to go in all directions.
I dont do many only 2 regulars but it is fantastic and really does work.

LMAO This made me giggle:green:

Its for people that may need there brows straightening (although I agree eyebrow perm does sound confusing lol)

On my left eyebrow I have a tuft in the middle that grows straight up (like madonna!) so I perm it into a natural shape, actually guess I am curling it as it already grows straight :lol:

As the others have said Thuya to my knowledge is the only perming and tinting product you can use on the same day although Im sure there must be other ones out there we haven't heard of.

Did an eyelash tint on a friend a few weeks ago. I'm presuming that by now it would be OK to do a perm. Advice please.

If a few is 4 or 5 I would be happy to do a perm.

Jacqui xx

PS Regarding the previous posts in this thread - I would perm and tint at the same time
