well it's approaching September and people are notourisly itching to do a course, be it a year long or a short course.

I've got mega itchy fingers, need to learn something new, have my eye on the new Gerard's Wave Treatment, Collagen Eye and Bamboo Massage, which I'm hoping to do mid September.

So, what are you planning in the next month or so?

I'm booked in on a 1 day sales course in Britol. I have no confidance when it comes to selling so I'm looking forward to it and then coming back a making loads of money! :green:

well i am in the middle of my CND masters which I am totally loving. I have waxing with Kim Lawless coming up in October and I am interested in doing the Indian Head Massage with yourself as you already know - plus others besides as time goes on.

I have come to the decision though that I do not want to do long courses at college that are beauty therapy/holistic therapy related, the quality of teaching is so vast (private is so much better) and I already have A+P level 3 and find I keep repeating stuff, so for me its illogical to do long courses.

I am however wanting to do something, being naturally artistic I want to do something to get my creative juices flowing so I have sent in an application form for a Millinary course and I also intend to apply for a HND in Photography a major passion of mine. The big decision will have to be which one, I have already studied photography at uni but never really specialised in it. Millinery completely new to me and I have been passionate about the beauty of hats since a small child. So if I get a place on both it'll be a major decision.

Now anne, I quite fancy getting into photography.

photography is a wonderful way to spend your time, I am definately joining a photography club in a town near me, the syllabus looks great! cant wait. I love love being in the dark room and my fab brother a jack of all trades is gonna build me a dark room in my cellar. I also love digital photography as well as image manipulation in Photoshop.

but hats i love love colour and texture and have been fascinated with hats ever since my father got me to watch Ladies Day at Ascot as a young child

so if i get on both major DILEMMA

I am kind of in limbo !
I did apply for leveled 3 nails but it would seem there was only three of us that did so they still haven't said if it will go ahead or not ,and to be honest I am starting to question if I need to or not as it wood seem that the things they cover in lv3 all seem to be things I have or am about to do with CND anyway, also where i live theres not much choise with out getting on a boat to the main land lol
I have been toying with the idea of doing eye lash's but I think I want to keep to just nails,

I enrolled last September to do my 7303 training but had to suspend my enrolment due to sudden ill health at the time of the course commencement.

I keep being asked for wax training/mentoring, but lost all confidence last year with this and that with teaching but I am just pondering if I should go for the training and then I can decide one way or another if I start with mentoring or not. I know I am good at teaching, but I wouldn't want to do it officially without the accreditation in place first.

Decisions decisions :)

Good thread for getting the grey matter working Ann x

Studying for the 7303 is something I keep thinking about... however I am taking my exams for the British Institute & Association of Electrolysis this Autumn, something I should have done years ago but never got around to. I am also interested in a 2 day brow course as well. :)

I'm also drawn towards Colon Hydrotherapy, Meditation and Colour Therapy.

September i start my PTLLS course in college for 12 weeks. Cant wait!! xx

In a couple of weeks I'm off to London for a week to update my Decleor body treatments, and I can't wait! A whole week of treatments, can't get better than that!

Unfortunately a long slog course for me - PGCE.

mmm im studying my wine of glass right now...seems to be a bit empty

Lol there's nothing wrong with hot chocolate  assuming of course it contains at least an element of Cointreau :lol:

i'd like to do an acrylic nail course with Creative but i'm not sure when. At the moment i'm thinking about names 4 my salon.

Opening on September 15th at the back of Smartheads hair salon. Still not sure what to call it. I'll be doing facials, waxing, manicure, pedicure, make-up and eye treatments.
I'm going to put dark purple towels in the room and have candles.

Plz help think of names coz i haven't got many weeks left

:)

Late next year is going to be CND time :green:

Until then my driving lessons and degree are keeping me occupied

I'm doing an airbase course on sat for airbrush make up and then in January I'm starting a basic hair cutting course.

I need to book some courses with Kim Lawless!
Was also thinking of salon management at my local college...
