yes ! i think maybe this would have been better as a poll. where people vote for the suppliers they use. therwise you will just have 10 people saying they like a company and 10 saying they dont.. which will never really give an answer of the best hair supplier..

Just changing the thread slightly does anyone know if abt insurance are any good ? And if they accept belle training?

I use locks and bonds they're an American based company and their hair is amazing and so cheap you get 10% discount shippings only £20 too if you're qualified and hair comes in packs of 50 I've found I get 2 full heads out of te quality before new hair needs to be bought I also use foxy which is amazing quality love gow soft the hair is gone I can get 2 full heads out of those too superstrands do the best clips ins think they do nail tip extensions the clips ins I've had from there lasted me 2 years and you send a clipping of your hair off and they match you up and so much choice out of the weight and thickness you want

Yes ABT do accept belle x

Has anyone used Great Lengths? I like the system they describe for how they process the hair, looks to be a lot less harsh. I think the problems a lot of us are having with hair is not the hair itself but actually how the supplier processes it. Can you only buy from them if you have trained on their system? I was thinking if they were any good it might be worth trying buying their hair and then tipping it myself for use with rings??

I love Great Lengths hair and the bonds are amazing but they do only supply of you have done their training. The hair lasts such a long time however this does come at a price, given the fact its so expensive to buy, I personally wouldn't want to then pretip myself, the bonds are excellent though! Hope this helps! :) xx

Hi there!! Does anyone know if the hair from Michael Ratajczak can be colored? Some client tried to color and the hair went patchy with horizontal strips. I colored my self and from light platinum blonde went black in just 5 minutes. Supposed to go medium brown. Some client is asking me and don't know what to answer. XX

All extensions I think... Can be coloured just not lightened or bleached?!

Is this the same as Tasha Jacks? If so, the hair I got from them was already so damaged through overprocessing, I wouldn't have touched it with any more colour.

I did think their training was very good but is expensive and they only do the pre bonded method (hot fusion, cold fusion and multisonic) depends if you think your clients are likely to pay great lengths prices? It is very thorough, 2 days training for one method! xx

Hey can anyone recommend a good luxury spanish hair stockist

Can anyone recommend a good supplier for double drawn hair?xx

hi Geeks, a friend of mine owns a hair extension shop and has just launched her new hair range called new u. I've been to see it and its really gorgeous, double drawn Indian Remy grade AAAA . I'm going to try it in my hair on Friday so I'll post some pics. I'm also gonna try the tape method out. Does anyone use the tape method, if so how do you get on with it?

Hi geeks

A bit off topic but I got some extensions fitted last Saturday and they feel awful! I've not even washed them yet just my own hair as they are so knotty and dry and just awful and I don't want to make them worse. I've been oiling them twice a day.

If you had a client come back after a week saying this what would you do? I'm just really unhappy with it but I think I'm just going to get fobbed off.

Any tips

Thanks in advance

X

Who supplied the extensions?

I had exactly the same situation with a client recently. Hair was meant to be premium (Tasha Jacks), cost loads - 20". Pretty much immediately after fitting the last 3-4" just knotting and matting constantly. Was
overprocessed to death!

I ended up cutting over 4" off - block cut and it improved for a while but all the split ends just kept coming back and in the end after only about 6 weeks wear, I had to take them out as they looked like straw!

Oils, treatments, blow drying in a small amount of treatment, specialist extension shampoos etc - if the hair is overprocessed and in bad condition, sometimes no matter what you do it could be beyond repair.

Is the cuticle correct? Is it just the ends that are knotting or further up the hair?

I think the first thing to do is talk to the person who installed them and the supplier.

Since the incident with the hair, I have sampled any hair and given it several washed before committing to buying as most hair feels silky and soft when you first buy it. How it is after several washes really gives you a better idea of how good its going to be or not.

The salon provided them. She said it was 95% cuticle correct. It is knotty all the way up the hair.I think il go back on sat I'm just worried il get fobbed off... Xx

Think you have found the problem ,anything that not 100% cuticle correct will tangle, not sure the salon will do anything about this problem because you agreed to having this type of hair which I would never use ,but definitely still contact them and see what they say :-D
