Firstly I'm a mobile hair and beauty therapist.
I've only recently went mobile and basically tryin to move from my office job full time to my beauty full time

I'm quite a sweaty person but usually get by with strong antiperspirant (sure max/ perspirex) but now I'm rushing around conentrating on beauty I find this isn't enough

Any suggestions guys? Has anyone had Botox for perspiration ?
Sorry for yucky share but want some advice lol

The best deodorant I've found is the Gillette anti perspirant it's like a gel it's fab, might be worth trying x
I've never had Botox but my friend gets it and says it works but when she doesn't have it often she finds she sweats more but that could be just her x

Try a stronger anti-perspirant (Driclor, Perspirex or Triple Dry) that you apply every few days. For everyday use, Mitchum deodorant is my favourite!

I have no experience with botox though, sorry.

I honestly would Recommend mitchum 48hour roll on. Its the only thing that works for me. It says 48hr but i use it daily due to baths

I think you need to get a second opinion because sometimes when you think you smell you really dont.So ask someone who will be honest.

Also are you sweating that you get really wet. Then yes botox would help but if you just get a bit sweaty and smelly then maybe just a stronger antiperspirant and a wipe during the day would be a less drastic option.

It's the wetness more than anything I don't actually smell of that makes sense
Ooh I didn't think of trying thongs like gillette I forget men r a bit sweatier
Mitchum just makes me itch like crazy I have quote sensitive skin( sensitive pain in the ass skin!!)
Thanks guys

Might be worth going to your GP
My mum has this problem and gets something prescribed to her :)

Fresh sweat doesn't smell........looking at this from a different angle it might help to wear cotton bras and tunics xx

Ive used driclor (not sure on spelling) works great but i don't use all the time because it completely stopped me sweating, don't know if harmful to use all the time, its really itchy/stingy when u put it on but worth it if u don't want to be conscious while working

Do u wax under ur arms? If not u should start pronto I find it has made a huge difference for me! Try this 4 or 5 times in a row and don't shave in between and I bet u will notice a lot less wet patches and sweat :) then try Botox if no luck :)

my friend get really bad wet sweat, she got botox on the NHS! id go to your GP see what they say

Hey I was one of the first people in this country to have Botox under arm I was the worst case the specialist had ever seen he was on thismorning tv show.

My sweating is terrible all the deodorants didn't work because it was so severe.I had the Botox 17 injections into each armpit it was horrendous and you know what it lasted a week and I went back to the same.my armpits sweat my back my face my crouch and bum my hands.

If I wear a pink top the sweat goes from my armpit to my waist and is extremely visible so I stick to White and black.

With the Botox it in most cases takes the sweating away but it can go to other places.

I don't have anything and don't use special deos IM SWEATY AND PROUD lol I wear a black thin tunic thin trousers squirt of deo frequently during the day and I just sweat it out girl I really dint care anymore I've had it since I was 5 I have never smelled my sweat is just wet with no smell.

I've just learned to live with it now and don't let it bother me.
I got mine on the nhs so worth going to your doctors I may work very well for you so worth giving it a go.

The more you think about it the worse it gets xxxxx

Hi, have you ever tried the crystal sticks??? They look like a stick deoderant but are totally natural, I think they are mineral salts, you wet it and then apply, they are fab, worth a try before the botox I think!
Good luck hon xxx

not sure what it is called but u can get a deodoant from the pharmacy that stops the sweat completely for a period of time (cant recall how long as its years since I used it but maybe a week?) and u are completely sweat free where its been applied (armpits).. it is quite uncomfortable as it stings a lotwhen applied but it completely stops the sweating so might be worth the pain?

Perspi guard. Apply it before bed and it keeps you sweat free for around 5 days. It really works. Avoid using on freshly shaved skin. Xx

Thanks guys I'll try ands get hold of those does and if no joy I'll see the go. Thanks for advice feels good being able to chat to people who understand the pressure on therapists to be IMMACULATE

Hiya, do you wax or shave your underarms? If I shave i sweat loads and stink when I wax I find I only have the problem when the hair gets long enough to wax even then it's not bad, worth a try!! I also change what deodorant I use as I find I become "immune" to it. Hths!!

I also have this problem. It is called hyperhydrosis. You should visit your doctor for some blood tests because it can be relate to other problems, luckily mine wasn't.

Your doctor will prescribe you a special deoderant and if that does not work for you they will discuss other options. I know botox injections is an option and there is a special operation too for more serious cases.

It is aweful isn't it, I get very embarassed by it. I will break out in a sweat just sitting down talking to people :(

I feel like I've tried so many antiperspirants! There is an amazing one from the States called Sweat Block, you only use it once a week and it lasts for a week! The other one they have is a gel Mitchum that is also great... It is not available in Australia and Im not sure about the UK.
I know it sounds too simple but I have found by eliminating caffeine my sweating has reduced dramatically. By this I mean I have now been able to persevere with a natural deodorant and it has been working. I now don't smell or have the moisture issue that was so bad! Now I am pretty sure this would not have happened whilst I was on the coffee! Just a thought.

I wanted to try and reduce the antiperspirants I was using as I have been such a heavy user and they are so high in aluminium, there is so much controversial evidence that I think I would rather err on the side of caution.

Best of luck with your trials :)

Mitcham roll on is fab, it keeps my armpite dry even when I exercise.
