Has anyone been watching the Derren Brown episodes??

I just don't get it, the lottery episode was proven that he used a split screen, then the episode where he told us how he "predicted" the numbers didn't actually tell us, nobody i know including me stuck to their seat, nobody i know got the consecutive circles drawings and then the episode last night just didn't make sense at all and seemed pretty suspect to me!!haha like there's NO way you could just hypnotise someone into giving you £5000 otherwise surely eveyone would be learning it!?lol

Just wondered what your opinions were!!

Ive been watching them too...I think hes an amazing and very clever bloke and usually im left wondering how he does these things and usually just accept its all psychology, but I have to say with these new things he's been doing its just so over the top that its pretty obvious that its all a fix! and not necessarily psychology....I dont believe that man gave him £5000 at all either...I just think he had to be an actor....I dont know...I think hypnosis is one of those things you definately have to experience to actually believe in it.

What was the split screen thing I must have missed that?

I think he is a total c**k. I really can't stand him or his voice. Its such a load of crap i really can't understand why its allowed on TV.

I have been to one of his shows and can tell you, some of the stuff he does leaves you mind-boggled.
I agree that his latest shows are a bit wierd, but at the end of the day its entertainment and they should all be taken with a pinch of salt.
Just sit back and enjoy-and dont look into them too much.

Thats the thing! I used to watch some of the old stuff that he used to do and I thought it was really clever! But some of the new stuff just seems so false! And I agree that you definitely have to experience these things first hand to believe in them fully.

The split screen thing was where basically when he went over to the other side of the screen to watch the tv a still image was kept on the other side of our screens of the balls on that stand thingy. Then whilst the balls came out someone was able to write on the balls behind this still image that was on our screens so we couldn't see it. Then the still image was taken away when derren went to the other side of the screen. Loads of professionals watched it and said that this is what he had done....i spose he does claim to be an illusionist lol

That's the thing to just walk into the bank and lift out a large sum of cash do you not have to give the bank X amount of notice first?
Just looked like a set up to me.

Well i don't know what to make of this new series but the other night i was watching a repeat of a programe made a few years back, filmed in Portmeirion, and there I was standing behind Derren Brown.
Talk about exited, I think i woke the whole street up shouting 'OMG I'm on telly' :o:lol:.

I've seen him live and all i can say is wow! He totally has me in awe when i see him, i've missed the last episode so cant comment but i do keep an open mind to anything and cant wait to sit down with sky plus and catch up! I love him!

Also, if he had taken the £5000 out of the bank ''last Monday'' how come in nearly 2 weeks he didn't check his balance???
