Hi Everyone, I'm Setting Up Mobile And I'm Having Trouble With Choosing A Nail Polish Range.

I need an affordable but quality range as i have left it as the last thing to buy and haven't got much money left. i was going to use attitude polishes but i got one to test on myself and it chips as fast as the cheap la femme market nail polish, i used orly bonder, 2 coats of thin polish and 1 coat of orly won't chip and i have also tried it with seche top coat and i'm gettin the same results.

i really dont want to be doing manicures then having women phoning me up a couple of days later with chipped nails.

Creative do an awsome range, from their mani/pedi items thru to their polishes. Its a one stop shop. Clients recognise the brand and know its quality, the items sell themselves so retailing is well worth it.

I always think its worth sticking with one manufacturer, for me it shows that you are professional and have confidence it that brand.

I use Attitude polish and I love it, I never have any problems with it at all, I have it on my toes at the min. and its been there for 3 weeks with no problems.
Took my polish off my finger nails last night after almost 2 weeks with no chips or other problems.
I'm surprised your not getting along with it, I recommend it all the time....x

I am a Creative polish user too, but then I use Creative L&P, gel, mani and pedi products too. I am happy with all their products.

Your profile doesn't say which supplier you use for your enhancement products - have you tried their polish ?

Hi

I your post you say that budget is a problem and thats why you thought of attitude.

My advice is always again and again...

Leave the budget brands that you can buy from wholesales in bucket loads on the shelf.

Why not try creative polishes or another premier brand, ok you will not be able to buy 20,000 colours for £50 but what you will have is

1, a brand that your customers reconise
2. a brand that you will be able to trust that will not chip
3, a small selection (maybe only 12) of great colours
4, back up from a good supplier
5,

the list is endless

condense you colour selection to a small selection and go for quality

Choose Based On Skin Color. If you’re fair skinned, you’ll probably look best in lighter shades of nail polish with pink undertones. Nail polishes that have blue undertones may also work well with fair skin. Fair skinned women tend to look their best in berry red shades of nail polish with a lighter color for day and more dramatic shade for the evening wear.If your skin has more olive undertones and is a bit darker, you’ll probably look fantastic in shades of russet and gold. These shades of nail polish really tend to play up olive skin.If you have dark skin, you can get by with almost any rich, deep or vibrant shades of nail polish including vibrant reds and purples. You can generally get by with a bolder display of color than can the fair skinned person.

Hi :)

Lots of people are recommending Creative polishes, but I would not recommend these as they take forever to dry, I waited about 10 hrs for it to dry once (and no it wasnt too thick) and it was still not completely dry.

I would recommend 'Colour Club' polishes, they have an awesome colour range and are fast drying and great quality. I used to use them when working at a Nail Kiosk and they retailed really well and customers loved them. Im not sure how much they are but they must be cheap because we were retailing them at $12(NZD) each, when brands like Orly and Creative are over $20(NZD) each. When I open a Nail Kiosk I will be using Colour Club for sure.

I have heard that China Glaze is good too, but havent tried it. Although they are salon quality, they just give me a cheap tacky feel (from a clients perspective).

I use 2 brands, Spa ritual and nails inc. Nails inc is probably my favourite the colours always turn out the excact same colour that they look in the bottle.

I love OPI polish, i think the quality of it is brilliant. Ive also heared that Jessica are good aswell.

I am a student and have bought several bottles of nsi misi nail polish... they do some fab colours and only cost £2.80 per bottle ex vat or they do the spa ritual range at £4 per bottle. For my training they seem ideal but have never used any other professional ranges yet but compared to some prices this is very reasonable... all the best with your new mobile business :)

I went for Creative nail enamels as the colour lasts ages and i always find they dry quite quickly even without a quick dry spray. It is also a recognised professional brand.

The only downside i find to Creative is the lack of treatments for natural nails as they only seem to have ridge filler and toughen up base coat???

Hi, I use a polish range called Sinful. Its locally made for me but iv started seeing it around alot more, it was at the gmex the other wk etc. Costs about £3 to buy, they sell really well . All the colours have diffrent names such as sexpresso, playful, wicked, desire. The polish is long lasting and nice to work with x

China Glaze are The best in my opinion; Great brush , quick dry, and seems to last for ages without chiping.
Had a client with pink & white L&P sculpts and had the top painted red so that after 2 weeks she could remove the polish and wear the french sculptures but she liked the varnish so much that when she came back for the refill she hadn't taken the varnish off, but there was nothing wrong with them except for the growth line , no chipping , lifting or anything.
My clients love China Glaze and all by retail bottles for there homes.

And if you drop the bottle it doesn't seem to break:green::green::green:

Mainly I use orly, i love all their colour ranges, Ive also got a few bottle of cuteum, their quite nice to paint with, Ive had it on my toes for about 2 weeks and they havent chipped hth x

I've been on the receiving end of Jessica and decided against them for my professional range. I use Creative and have no bother with them drying because I use the Solar Speed Spray, and/or SolarOil.
I started with a few signature colours and am building up the range as I can afford to and when new colours arrive.
My clients are always very pleased with the durability of them too.

I think Creative Polishes are fab too & think its nice to offer a range of polishes the clients can't just go and buy on the highstreet in boots & superdrug etc as it makes you seem more professional!!
Id ring the supplier of the brand you go with & ask for the top 10 selling colours & buy those then build up your collection

Thanks For All Your Help I'll Look Into Them x x x x x

I specialize in natural nail care ( no artificial) and have got come suggestions for you.
1.OPI-Chip Skip
2. Creative Nail- Sticky
3. 2 coats of OPI color
4.Creative Nail- Shiny
5.QTica- 1/2 Time (Dry Fast Drops) expensive, VERY beneficial, but not manditory.
Suggest that your client put on a top coat the day of or the day after her manicure (have one ready to sell her if she doesn't) and it will give her an extra few days out of her manicure.
Also, Seche Vite is a good top coat, but when any polish becomes thick, and it's already thick to begin with, it can become difficult to work with and peel off rather quickly.
You should only thin polishes out three or four times before tossing the bottle and buying a new one, even if it looks semi full.
Good luck:)
