Hi All

Just wondered if anyone could help me with clear tip application:

Whilst blending the clear tips, they are getting quite scratched up & this is visable through the l&p.

These are CND tips and L&P.

I am using the 240 koala file to finish and still finding that the scratches are showing through.

Would the block buffer be better for these?

I have the 4th day of my foundation course this week so will ask tutor but any advice in the meantime would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks geeks

I usually don't blend clear tips, if applied right they shouldn't need it!!

Try taking the well out then placing the tip towards the edge of the natural F/E, you can then go ahead and place your L&P in zones 1, 2, 3 and should not have any problem.

I have some clear with well and if i use them i dont get any problem with scratches showing. I use the white block to gently remove any shine then proceed with my application. HTH

I think you may be using too harsh a file maybe. As has been said previously, you don't have to blend in glass tips, but you do need to take off the shine.

I would take out the well area, apply your tips so they are at the free edge, take off shine, then apply your L&P as normal.

just take the shine off....u don't have to blend clear tips.....give it a good scrub with ur scrub fresh to make sure that the line is not showing any more and then apply the L&P....xx

I don't know about creative products. I didn't realise thats what scrubfresh was. I thought it was like a sanitiser of sorts - to scrub the natural nail. You learn something new everyday.

Scrubfresh is a sanitiser to scrub the natural nail with - it's a dehydrator and cleanser, leaves the natural nail ready for either enhancement or enamel application.

You cannot blend tips with SF - the only thing Scrubfresh does for tips is risk cracking them!

You can blend clear tips - I do. The scratches on them don't show when your product is applied......

i dont have a prob blending clear tips either.. but as stated before i think maybe you are using the wrong grit..
scrubfresh is better just being used on nn too imo.

I'm curious as to what clear tips are used for, is it just for glitter tips ?

Surely the minute the free edge grows it defeats the object

I use clear with a thin coat of glitter so they are like a transparent glitter if that makes sense lol

They **** lovely when the light shines through :green:
