Hiya :)

I was sat a pondering about hard wax (I know, 'get a life' I hear you cry! :green:)

Anyway, I pondered, can hot wax be used effectively on every part of the body? I know it's great for the intimate waxing, brows and underarms, but what about something like a full or half leg or would that be better using warm strip wax?

I need to get a double wax heater (I've seen Pink Potion's one and it looks ideal) but in the meantime while I save up for it (and the million, trillion other things I need/want) would a pot of hard wax be enough or would I be better off sticking (pardon the pun :)) to the warm stuff until I get one?

Thanks for any replies

You can use hot wax for every part of the body, however, it wouldn't be very cost effective. So, if you can only afford one wax pot, I'd stick with strip wax for now. xxx

Thanks Kim

I was thinking about cost effectiveness. I get quite a few walk-ins for brows, underarms, lip n chin etc but the leg waxes, and 'downstairs' waxings tend to book in advance. Would you recommend having the hot wax on for the walk-ins and if I get a booking for legs just swap the pots? I really want to use hot wax!

xx

You can get double heaters at very reasonable prices. I recently bought the Babyliss Pro double heater for under £40 and it is fab. It does everything I need it to do for me and it means that I always have both hot and strip wax ready to go.

Hot wax will be very timeconsuming on larger areas - tried and tested)) and as was already mentioned not cost effective.

have a look on gumtree - somebody might be selling a pot there)))

:)

I'm not a fan of the double heaters as if one side breaks down, you might as well throw the whole thing away. Just get yourself two seperate heaters (Hive are good and cheap). Always have your strip and non strip wan heated as you never know when you may need it. xxx

Thanks for all the replies guys :)

I think I will invest in another 1000cc heater for my hot wax, as Kim said, if one side breaks down I'll have to buy another one anyway.

Thanks again. xx

P.S Just to add, I'll probably buy another one after Christmas so I can have more wax on offer as I find the creme tea tree great for the facial area but not so good for the legs etc. :)

Beauty express have an offer on the large hive 1000 cc at the mo you can get it for £34. 95 plus vat and p and p
