:smack:Hi There

Im Kerris, a Skin Therapist but actually have a query in regards to wax.

Does anyone have feedback on hot wax vs strip wax on the delicate areas e.g. face, underarms and bikini area.

As there would be many people who have sensitive skin, would you say it is definately better to use hot wax or at least cater for people who prefer a gentle hot wax on these areas.

Some salons only have strip which they use for everything inc. brazilian waxing but others say definately do not put strip wax on these areas.

Cheers,

Kerris

For sensitive and intimate areas non-strip wax is the way to go! And it can give you a competive edge over other salons if you use it properly!

I only ever ue hot wax/non strip on those areas. :)
Clients DO notice the difference.

Hi I use Berins blue non strip wax on Intimate areas, you really cant beat it, my clients are always so amazed by it. Really worth it.

I totally agree! On all sensitive areas such as face, underarm, bikini and intimate I would only ever use the non-strip wax and if you look at the newer generation waxes - they contain added ingredients to make it even more comfortable for the client and they can be applied at a much lower temperature - only about 5 degrees above temperature!

I would definetely give it a go and you will be amazed at the difference it makes!

Could you recommend the non strip wax that has a low temp as this is my stumbling block! I have euroblone non strip wax and always worry that it is going to burn the client.

Its the Berins Blue or in the Summer the Jet set for warmer rooms as this will set quicker. hope this helps but please shout if I can help with anything else?

I had Perron Rigot recommended to me on this site and used the Euroblonde (non strip)for the first last week for facila waxing. I was very pleased with the results and it left no redness or facial grazing on my client which has happened befor with cheaper strip wax.

I use non-strip wax on face, underarm and intimate waxing.
My clients certainly notice a difference and comment on how nice it is and less painful.
The wax you use does make a difference so you need a good quality one. I use Berins blue for non-strip wax and Perron Rigot for strip wax.

I've used GiGi hot wax for brazillians. Its really good, less pain for the client and you get as much chicken skin effect iykwim.I also think you can cover larger areas at a time. Hth x

i love my berins non strip waxes, they make the world of difference.

As someone who has modelled for intimate waxing, I'd give a thumbs up to both Berins and Perron Rigot warm wax products. I have had a very comfortable waxing experience from both brands.

Hot wax is a dream to use, but mor importantly, your clients will love it. If you use a good quality hot wax (non strip), it's not sticky and there is no soreness afterwards.

I would never ever use strip wax for Intimate Waxing and it's my wax of choice for underarms and sensitive area. Strip wax is brilliant.......when used on the right areas. xxx
