How many of you use them? I'm talking about the social Groups. Many peeps get a little tired of PopIts questions or Minx questions or even lifting questions always on the main forums so why not join the Minx Lovers Social group or the PopIt Power Social Group or even the L&P social group and ask some of the more common questions there?

Frankly the social groups are under used and should be used much more. I always look at them and am available to answer questions in my social groups.

How do you find them?? You didn't know they existed?? Well .. You click on community above and then choose social groups from the drop down menu and then just join whatever group you are interested in.

I have just created a new social Group called PopIt Power.

Please post all your PopIt questions here and help to free up the main forum of questions regarding this service.

Share with us what services you offer to your clients using PopIts.

Share your frustrations (if you have any)

Share your success stories (which I'm sure you have lol)

Share some images of your work using PopIts.

If PopIts are stuck in your drawer at work then let others encourage you to become an expert at using them and how to really make some money with this new and exciting service.

Have fun all ... I'll be there regularly to answer any queries.

I dont use them as much as I should, I dont find the layout/thread style very easy to use, thats probably because I dont use it often enough.....

I would like a CND sub forum on the main page, but this probably isnt possible as there would be a hundred other people wanting various other companies.

Is there any way that the social group format could be something like the main forum page??

Oh & my poppits are stuck in my drawer as I dont feeel confident enough to be using them on paying clients and I clog my brush everytime I use them ...... I need more practice but for that I need more time....

Oh & I need a week with you Gigi, Im sure that would sort me out lol

I know I don't use them often enough. I just joined Popits Power (I don't have good luck with them) and the Minx Lovers group, something I'd like to learn.

Thanks for the reminder!

Oh, and I'd love a MONTH with you, geeg! :)

I :Love:love :Love:the social groups and usually check them first!

Without mentioning anything in particular :green:with all the 'non professional' (ok downright stupid ) type posts there have been on here recently I find a better kind of thread on the social groups.

The layout is great and I know the likes of geeg and mum use them.thats good enough for me:hug:

I forget to check the groups so where I'm on here every day I only check the groups maybe once a week....... I do find them really handy though!

I can't use the social groups as I am only a learner and don't feel that I should - they are for "professional techs" aren't they?

There could do withbeing a newbie section though for people training so the forum doesn't get clogged with the questions that people get fed up of hearing from newcomers :(

I sure use them. I just feel that this way the questions about the products are aimed at the right people without getting side tracked onto something that is not relevant to the topic being discussed.

I do also find that people are more honest with their feedback/replies and dont worry about upsetting somebody with their comments.

ahhhh , brittone05 thans sad! Are we not all learners? don't feel like that hun!
maybe a social grope for beginers? maybe then it might feel less dounting than posting on the main sight?

Hi there I agree that they are underused. I started up a group a few weeks ago for Young Nails lovers and we are growing by the day! Like Geeg says it frees up the main forum for more general questions. :) xxx

I tend to view the main forum and the blogs but forget about the social groups :irked:
Mental note to self......... Dont forget the social groups :)

New comers should always do a search and learn asmuch as they can but after that, if they still have questions, THAT IS WHAT THE SITE WAS FOUNDED TO DO .... TEACH.

So never be worried about posting ... just do it and there will be any number of people to help out. AND no one needs to start every post with , "I did a search but couldn't find the answer I was loooking for" :) It always makes me laugh as if they knew the answer they were looking for there is no need to have asked the question!! lol

I PROMISE to use the social groups more now...Promise.
x x x   x x x

Thanks :)

I have spent wayyyyy too many hours reading through post after post about stuff that I know can't be taught at college - things that only come with experience or personal choice based on an informed decision so do my best not to ask too many questions lol

Learning is on-going though so I am sure that over the course of my college classes, I shall have to ask plenty to ease my mind :)

I check in on the social groups I have joined as these are what I am most interested in, I have posted in the minx group .... I find them helpful.

I pop onto the social groups periodically.
but if I wanted to have a lengthy discussion about something I would suggest taking it to the social groups.

I have just started a group for us Cheshire Geeks so get posting :)

I forget about the social groups too. I only tend to come straight on here and i sometimes go in the critiques section. I always check out the latest 5 album pictures on the front page too. I love looking at peeps pictures.
TBH this site is huge and there are many things i haven't explored yet. I get too carried away with the search engine which is my fav and spend too long searching :)
Edited to add off to have a nose at the social groups now!

I'm always checking the social groups I am part of ... but no one is talking, there's not much action, almost feel like I'm talking to myself...

Yet I still check them frequently :green:

I love the social groups too. Especially all the pics!
Ooooo, Im going to go and start an eyelash extension one!:)

i havent delved into them yet, i spend too much time reading threads as it is so i havent worked up to getting myself a new addiction. i do have to say though… if youre designating questions about certain products/procedures to only be asked in a certain place and not the main forum, and some people dont want people to ask any repeat questions (i.e. the whole "this question has been asked before, do a search" reply to posts) then eventualy will the main forum not become neglected? if someone has a question thats already been asked, even if its been answered 100 times, maybe they just dont feel theyve found their answer! the old threads dont often get new posts. so as new ideas emerge and discoveries are made its unfortunate when people are discouraged from posting because they think the only answer they'll get is "do a search". geeg has hit this issue on the head, shes 100% correct that no one should have to preclude a question with "i already searched, but…". not to mention, theres always plently of beginners that just browse the forums for nothing in particular, they dont always know what to search for to find the answers they need, they dont necessarily have any specific questions to ask yet. so if we're continually being discouraged to ask questions wont the newbies be missing out on some things? i think designating questions to certain areas is an unfortunate idea, its great to have a separate area where people can discuss specific products and aspects of the business, be more opinion based and post pics and whatnot, but i say we should welcome any and all questions about our industry in the main forum. sorry this got so long! i tend to ramble when im trying to get a point across and i dont mean to come off rude! lol, this is just a pet peeve of mine regarding forums (an i dont mean this site specifically!). i dont think the main forum could ever be over crowded with too much information, it should be constantly flowing with it and if the same old topics come up every once in awhile, even better, theres always new ideas and fresh talent to shed new light on the same old story and that can benefit even the most experienced techs.
