I have an iPhone. I love it. Before this I had a different smart phone. An Orbit XDA phone. Also loved that phone. Had it for the full 18 month contract and didn't feel like I was getting sick of it which I used to do with phones.
I use my phone mostly for personal use but I think these types of phones are great for business too.
I have my calendar, email and internet access all on my phone. You can get a bolt on for your tarrif so tha you don't need to worry about how much time you spend mobile browsing. I think pay as you go tarrifs have a similar thing too. Like top up XX amount per month.
As soon as a client emails me I reply quite quickly as I always have my phone near me. I have had clients comment on how quickly I've gotten back to them.
I can access salongeek any time. Whether that's a good or bad thin I haven't decided yet. Facebook, ditto. I can also update most things on my website from here.
I find this an invaluable tool especially with more and more clients choosing email as first contact. I bought another pay as you go mobile purely for a business number. I find I get more emails than I do text or phone calls to that number. I also think these type of phones are great when you are working mobile and don't have a base as such.
Does anyone else use a smart phone for business? Any tips you can share with us to get the most out of them and utilise them to their full potential?
