Is this normal? I think I've just had my first perv!

I received a text asking if i spray tanned men and i replied saying yes i did, he then asked how much notice i would need. i then rang him to get more details from him and tell him you would really need 24 hours to exfoliate the skin, shave etc. i would say he sounded in his 40's. I asked him where he got my number from and asked him where he lived. as he lived in newcastle, i told him it was out of my area, but if he was willing to come to me (probably about 10-15 miles) I could do him at home. i know alarm bells should have rang then as there are absolutely loads of places in newcastle as well as lots of mobile therapists out there too.

after the phone call he text me to ask if i was ok with him wearing a paper thong from the last time he had a tan as his boxers were huge?! i told him that would be fine. then this was followed by about another 10 texts going on and on about this small paper thong, how it didnt leave much to the imagination and he didnt want to offend that he wasnt a perve blah blah. each time i text back telling him not to worry i wasnt offended. then he said he would prefer to be nude, so i thought, ok, maybe all those texts were seeing how the water lay for me to do nude,so i said lets just see if we are both comfortable on the day with that and take it from there. when i had spoke to him on the phone and asked was he having it for a special occasion he said he just wanted a bit of colour, so what difference would it make if he had thong lines? who was going to see them? I could understnad if you were going on holiday.

anyway more texts followed, like one after the other asking if i had done nude men before. he asked if it was spray or hand application and i thought this was a bit odd as initially he said he had a few spray tans before. and then came the corker!!!!!! he said, please dont get offended if i get an erection, its a guy thing x
I am sorry but that is not a guy thing, that is a pervy thing!, how could you get an erection while being jetted with freezing cold spray, its not the best feeling in the world! or maybe its just me?!

so i text back saying if he thought he was going to get an erection i would ask him to put his pants on or ask my husband to be present in the room. he text to say, he didnt mean to offend and said my hubby would be welcome to be present, then he text back a couple of minutes later saying, actually i dont want another man watching me nude when i have a tan. thank u anyway x

I could have text back and said i would have him standing in the tent and bring my husband behind the tent so he never would have seen him naked but i thought, thank god for that, think i have had a lucky escape!!!

out of interest of all of you who have ever sprayed men either in the nude or with a thong, how many have gotten an erection or even mentioned beforehand they might get an erection?

Lol OMG...funny post!! I ave only sprayed two men as I'm pretty new in the business and I aint realy a shy person or one to get embarrased easily but tbh if a man did get an erection whilst I was sprayin him I wld DIE in shame and wld prob laugh my head off! Not very professinal I know but plllease! How embarrasing loool ! Thanks for the tips tho, if I get any texts as above, ill jus say I charge extra for nude sprays and enure my hubby was around incase he tried any funny business haha! Xxxx

Hi - I have sprayed naked men before and none of them got an erection! The first time I felt really awkward, especially as his wife told me he was really large!:o - (I mean what was I going to do with it if it got in the way!!:lol:, but it was fine and once you have seen one..... I have only every sprayed naked men in a tanning party situation though

Just to be a real party pooper but please ladies be very vigilant with Tanning or any other treatment to Men if you visit them at home on your own, put in place some kind of security for yourselves for example, make sure if you are visiting at their residence that someone has your whereabouts and expected time of return and that you let them know when you have finished and are leaving the premises and let your client know that this is what you have done by phoning your friend when you arrive in front of your client and explain that you do this as a security measure and it is a requirement!and will confirm when you have left!
I don't want to read in the papers of some poor tech found.
Some Men get there rocks off to this kind of communication don't entertain it

Definately if this as a normal client he would 'nt be bothered asking so many questions about naked ect. Most men would be terrified of getting an erection in that situation. It sounds to me he is testing the water a bit and i would stay well away. I agree with , if poss having somebody travel with you and say its policy when spraying a male client. We had a prob with these foreign guys coming in to salon for massage, seemed ok when booking but was diff in the room . I got a male friend to do their massage next time and we didnt see them since !!!!! You just cannot be too careful.

I really think this was just a perve trying his luck. like i said he sent me about 25 texts one after the other saying about how he didnt want to offend, when i think about it the alarm bells rang when he said he wanted to come from newcastle to chester le street to have it done. my first thought was if he is a perve maybe he had used all the spray tanners in newcastle and had to move to different areas lol.

I am really glad he cancelled though, it just didnt feel right. Even when i text back saying dont worry, my husband has a penis! he still went on and on about it, but funny he never mentioned it when i rang him, he did it all by text! I am more annoyed I wasted my credit on him lol

I get this a lot with doing mainly massage.
I got a text from someone on Friday asking if I did full body massage on male clients.
I answered:
"Yes I do, but strictly no sexual services. If you are a genuine client wishing for a FBM please text back and I will arrange an appointment for you".
Haven't heard back so must have been after sexual services!

If I get calls now, I kind of know by the questions they ask if they are going to be wasting my time. I know answer them politely and when I get a chance I drop in "well thats fine, I'll get my colleague John to massage you". They soon get off the phone!!!

Learn from this, once they start getting a bit too eager, cut them off with "sorry full booked".

i get loads of texts asking if i spraytan men some asking for that all over tan thats why when i first started i made my policy sorry no men only because i dnt feel comfortable going to their home if i was salon based that would be different x

I've had salons that spray men and also ones that ask if they can wear little clothes. Mens boxers are quite large, most of them just tuck their underwear up so that they are in the shape of thongs. Men probably don't think much of getting naked and I would be surprised if they got an erection as the tan is blooming freezing, it'd more than likely disappear!!

On a safety note, I wouldn't go solo to a guys home definitely take your hubby with you and he can stay to the side of the tent or outside the room with the door ajar. Same goes for guys visiting your house unless you know them really well and can trust them.

Unfortunately, It's these idiots who make it difficult for me as a male, starting out my spray tan business, to attract female as well as male clients. Theres always the 1% who add to the perception that we are a load of sex starved perverts looking for any chance to see/touch female flesh. God knows why they want to use spray tan therapists, theres plenty of knocking shops around!! Most therapists i guess have a good instinct for weeding out the weirdo's. If in doubt, give them a wide berth, take someone with you or send them to me! lol. If they try anything with me, my wife would flatten 'em!! lol

mmm I've just received a Do you tan men text & it reminded me of this thread- I just had the I want an all over tan are you ok with that question and I have suggested to the clients that perhaps I do not offer the service they are looking for and should contact someone else who advertises the service they are looking for. Shame if this is a genuine client but I cant be doing with entertaining a perv!

I do wonder if its the same person asking us all the question and getting our numbers from the same place- I placed a new ad yesterday with freeindex yesterday.

I've just had the same thing - Curious to know if you do all over tanning for men - asked what he meant by all over? Then the questions came thick and fast!!! I referred every question to my husband to make sure I wasn't reading too much into it and he agreed he was "suspect".

Sad aren't they - just wish there was somewhere we log there numbers just in case?

Now I have made a plan that I will tan men, my b/f will always come with me and wait outside in the car and I will let the client know that. Not too bothered about seeing a naked man and I think someone said surely the cold spray would have the opposite effect :lol:

I usually defend men, as i'm one myself and have seen many narrow minded and holier than though posts in here, but this one wreaks of issues...... Id just tell him flatout "sorry, you have freaked me out and made me feel uncomfortable" and advise him to seek someone else.

It's such a shame some guys ruin it for the rest. In my 1st salon we had a bit of an incident so for my salon now men are welcome for shampoo cuts and colours with the hairdresser but beauty is strictly for women. I've had a few discussions with friends and family they think for tanning (esp as its the 'gay end of town')I should just do it- I just dont want to do it! Plus we are smack bang next door to a high end gents only place that offers everything just for men- I want nice neighbours and don't want to put myself in any kind of situation.

I had almost the same issue with a man and massage. It was on a phone call, took him ages on the phone but it eventually came "oh you dnt mind if i get an erection do you, i hope it wouldnt offend you? oh and i once new a woman who would deal with that for me!" so i said " you had better go back to her then hadnt you, thank you bye"

Time waster!

There are plenty of women offering 'those' services and stating it bluntly as well in their adverts, but they charge more and i think arent that pretty! so the perves try it on with the innocent, cheaper pretty girls occasionally.

Each man to their own, but seriously they shouldnt make us good girls scared by it.

I dont do men at home, only in the salon and only with the other girls knowing, do what makes you feel safe and comfortable, never feel guilty.
