Hiya has anyone came across reactions to tantrick or any spray tans that make you itchy in certain areas-client has just txt me asking this as she has had itchy shoulders chest and inside elbows? Have told her Im going to do a patch test in a small area to cinfirm wether its the tan or not but seems strange its only in certain areas? Said she hasnt changed anything lately but Im wondering if its just dry/dead skin even though its came about since I sprayed her xx

never worked with that tan but have with many others does she suffer with exzema or psoriasis or really sensitive skin ive never had a reaction and most tans wont cause one pre patch test again i think it might be her skin tho x

Has she had a spraytan applied before and has she had this reaction for the first time only this time.

I use Tantrick all the time and have never come across any reactions and have sprayed plenty with eczema etc, would be very surprised if its the spray tan, make sure you do the patch test in the area she is itchy,ie inside of elbow. xx

Hi hun,
Was the itching whilst the solution was still on her skin, or after she had showered?

I find that I am fine whilst the solution is on my skin, but after I have showered, I get itchy on my lower back and hips.... it seems to make them very dry, hence the itching.

I just moisturise all over as normal and then moisturise again on the bits that need extra hydration.
This has happened to me with every solution I have tested.

I used to get itching on my chest & neck when I used Couture, but since I have changed to Tantrick, I havent had any problems.

Coutures aftercare products used to make me feel very itchy and sticky too!

Is it because you've told her not to scratch at the tan? Once you've told someone not to itch all you want to do it itch! Usually she'd sort the itch by scratching but now she cant its probably really bothering her. Dont take my word for it this is just what i'm like!

Very true, I cant stop scratching the end of my nose when I've had a tan, not because its particularly itchy as such, its something about not wanting a tanned finger :lol::lol:. Although if she's actually rung you up about it, its prob itchy itchy, unless she's a drama queen xx

Thanks everyone, she said this was her first spray tan but has used self tanners before. No I didnt mention ''no itching'', I am going to do a test patch on tues to see if any reaction but seems odd that its only certain areas. My first spray gave me prickly heat like rash on my shoulders and back also but fine each one after? xx

Hi hun, I find when I have tans, whichever product solution, my face is always itchy while the tan is developing. Once I shower, it goes away. Not sure if it's psychological though as I know I can't scratch?

If I really need to scratch I use the end of a comb or something similar as I don't want brown fingertips, lol!

hiya, if i use ALOT of false tanners i itch mainly on my arms, badly on my legs and probably my legs too. Only ones ive found ok so far is fake bake mousse, although that still affects my legs and at the moment l'oreal sublime on my arms is ok. theres an ingredient in it that ive heard irritates a lot of peoples skin but cant remember what it is........

R the areas where she has waxed or shaved? xxx

It may be an idea to check if your client exfoliated on the day of her spray tan. If I exfoliate the same day I itch when the spray tan is applied. If I do it the night before I'm ok. I do tend to have sensitive skin, so i'm not suprised!
