Hi Geeks

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a line in male manicure products. I was looking at the range by Cuccio but before i buy wanted to check out what (if anything!) you peeps were using.

My new fella has really thin, weak nails that need some TLC - i've been trying to talk him into letting me do a NNO with Bio on them but he's having none of it and says that he doesn't 'wanna smell like a poof' using the bits that i have! ugh, MEN!!!

i think it's a shame that some men still think it 'poofy' to use lotions and potions. can't help you with a good range i'm afraid as i haven't opened my salon yet. when i do open i was thinking of having a men only night in the hope of getting more men interested. would your other half go to a men only evening do you think?

Well, I use the CND Spa Range, It doesnt smell 'poofy' at all, it smells citrusy and its lovely!!

As for the Pedicure I use CND Raw Earth! Again a very neutral scent so fab for men!

If your hubby has very thin nails then I would suggest if he doesnt want NNO, then go down the Solar Oil route, and get him or you to massage it into the nails twice daily, you should see an improvement soon!

xxxxxxxx:hug:

essie do a "varnish" called man e cure - leaves them matt and lovely- my bloke loves it!:)

I think he probably would if he was nagged enough! And then wonder what all the fuss was about! I think it's an excellent idea - i hope it's successful for you! :)

He'd probably go for that actually. I think he thinks it's all too girly, but won't give me the chance to show him it'll be of benefit to him:smack:! But i'll have to try a little harder to persuade him!

This makes me laugh, What exactly does a "Poof" smell like? Tell him that gay men if that is what that means use mens aftershave so he already smells like one.

quite a few places do the Essie range- a know beauty express do it though.:)

the main stockist are Lisa and Jamie Crook - Perfect Nails. Check your Scratch mag as the ad has the address and phone number in it... and if you dont subscribe to Scratch... you should!!

The RawEarth line is lovely for peds and very generic... the only difference between mens and ladies product however is the 'marketing name' so don't be fooled by thinking it's something designed for men... keratin is keratin at the end of the day!! :!:

Thanks hun, that word does my head in

Hi

I buff then to finsh I use dry & shine (creative) on his nails... lovely lovely ........

Your fella sounds quite liberal compared to mine. When offered a manicure using the Spa range he said he would, and I quote "rather set himself on fire".. I have managed to inflict a pedicure on him though, minus the sea salt glow (or whatever the purple scrub is called, I forget).

I am interested to find a gents manicure range that smells distinctly "male" though (ie of aftershave, not socks and lager:lol:)

I'm so not gonna say anything :) YET

Oh c'mon Carl - we are sitting here with baited breath:green:

:lol::lol: Yes I am nosey and am now really curious as to what you think

Been down that route myself, as my wife suggested a while ago that I 'clean up' my nails a bit. The first pedicure felt great enough that I went back for more when they began to look rough. I even tried nail varnish and find that I like wearing my toenails in silvers/grays because it looks better than plain nails by far. The colors look masculine too, even though my nails are shiny. I've drawn a bunch of compliments, so I guess I'm not the only one who thinks it's okay for men to wear their nails painted.

My hubby love it when I give him a manicure and a pedicure. I owe him a pedicure actually, I use the creative spa and he loves the smell.

...so what's a 'masculine' colour? Mine are usually pink...
