I need some help from all of you wonderful skin geeks out there.

My neice is a bridesmaid later this year and has now been shown the dress she is to wear. An off the shoulder corset type, which I am sure she will be lovely in, despite the fact she is not a 'dress' kind of girl.

However she is a bit self conscious about a tattoo on her arm, it is one of those Celtic ones that goes right around her arm at her bicep.

Is there anything out there coverage make ups etc. that we can get to cover up this tattoo for the day, so that she can relax and enjoy the day and not be worried about the official photographs.

A shrug or pashmina won't really do as although we are in Scotland July can sometimes be hot!!

Is there something we can do?

their is definetly specialist make up that you can use to camoflauge the tattoo.

Hopefully someone else will know more about it.

There was a product QVC used to sell that covered everything if I remember rightly, I will investigate further and get back to you. JI do a concealer but I suspect it would not be suitable or cost effective for a larger area.

A question I can actually give advice in! lol

I use Dermacolor Camouflage by Kryolan. They make some fantastic make-up, alot of it for the theatre aswell but their Dermacolor is fantastic for covering up hyper/hypo pigmentation, tattoos etc. and even used as a concealor as its not too thick. You can buy it in a little 16 colour mini pallette so you can mix up and get the best colour instead of buying huge sizes that you may never use again.

Lots of websites sell them online too so its not hard to get hold of.

I'd also recommend using a powder to set the make-up afterwards as you don't want it streaking or rubbing off onto the dress!

HTH :) x

Thanks for all your help......That link is great Linda the sample kit should probably be enough, with some finishing powder, as of course we don't want her dress covered in make up.;)
I shall also look up the Dermacolour Lucy, thanks for that.

Martigirl I have also seen that but can't remember the name.......I shall see you soon though, for the application lessons I shall need lol:lol: whatever I get!!

Would that I could!!!! She lives in Norwich, and won't actually be up here until the wedding!!!

Since I am posting, do any of you make up artists know of any other products, as I do have plenty time to make up my mind, and what would be the best way to go about covering up the tattoo. Although I think I may have to get a professional in.
