Hiya :)

I've tinkered around with it quite a lot and I still don't think it's quite right in my opinion, don't know what, just can't put my finger on it, so would you lovely Geeks please take a look and see what you think?

All constructive criticism welcome :green:

Thank you

Hi, I like the colours you have used and the site overall.
Although, I find the constant change in font size on the treatments page quite hard on the eye as well as the prices being uneven (not in a strsight line-one after the other).
hth.

I like your site, very different, I also think that it is good because most websites have too much going on and they can be quite overpowering, but your site is what I call "easy to look at and user friendly, looking forward to seeing it evolve. :)

Thanks girls :)

I will make a note to modify the font on the treatments page and I know the prices aren't all in a straight line - something I'm trying to work on!

Thanks Bebeautiful, I was going for the easy on the eye look :)

Anyone else?

Well if i'm honest i think theres too much 'gumph' written on the home page!

After the first paragraph i got the picture that you were offering something that was good and relaxing but then you keep repeating yourself and if it annoyed me it'll annoy a potential client.

Also the news at the bottom of the page could be put on a 'news' page to help de-clutter that home page of yours.

If you want you can pm me and i'll give you more tips and show you one of the websites i've created in the past x

Unless i missed it you don't have a price and treatment menu for nails hth

Ive only one question sweet are your trial Tans the same price as your full body? Or do you do it as a special offer.

Your site is simple and easy to navigate,
a news page sounds good.
good luck sweet

I've noticed that the "title" of your pages (as appears in the browser bar at the top of the web browser window) says "Home Page", "Prices", "Contact Us" and "Picture Page" (depending on which page you are on).

Now, Google and other search engines employ a significant weighting on what appears in your title text - so changing it (e.g. for your home page) to "Beauty Fusions - Nails, Waxing, Tanning and Eye Treatments - Gosport, Hampshire, UK - Home Page" will give you a much higher Google ranking on words such as "Beauty, Nails, Waxing, Tanning, Gosport" etc - so your page should appear higher up a Google search for people looking for those search terms.

You may also want to update your Meta tags, as they still refer to "Urban Nails" and do not mention any of the skin treatments you have recently added.

What might also be good is to add an "About Us" page, and move some of the text from the home page to that, so that the text on the home page itself is more concise and snappy.

I've noticed that there are no prices for your Nail treatments on your price list page either - will you be adding those in due course? What would also look better on your price list page is if you could right-justify the prices, as they aren't lining up with each other at the moment.

For the Picture page, you might want to add a nice slideshow or gallery browser once you get some more pictures to put up there.

Other than that (and this is my opinion so you can take it with a pinch of salt if you want) I think it would look better if you standardised on fonts, sizes and colours a bit more and made them consistent across all pages, as there's a mix of different colours, fonts and font sizes at the moment.

I think the colours are pretty and agree re. the fonts. I probably would call the picture page gallery instead. But well done, think you've done well ! xx

Bit too much info about what you are going to be doing etc.It makes it sound as though you are just starting out and are inexperienced which may well put people off.
All you need to put really is what you ARE qualified and doing now and maybe add that you continue to train to keep up to date with all the latest techniques and treatments.

You have intimate waxing in your price list but say in your intro that you are considering training thats confusing as to whether you are doing it now but with no training.

I think all this needs to be condensed and made to sound a lot more confident.

I really like it you could beneit from a memorable logo to catch the eye otherwise great

Very good but there was one bit where I was confused. You say something about booking packages and getting discounts for direct debit but you don't say what the packages are or if you can pick and choose or if you just book in a regular slot for a regular threatment. But I could be being thick:eek:! Wouldn't be the first time! lol

I stopped reading as there was too much info on your home page and the font was differing in sizes.
Try having your home page with info on the new salon and the experience you want them to have keep it short and brief and get them to have alook around the site.
Have an about Us page telling the changes in the business who works where etc, then band your menu for beauty, nails & tanning so your old clients form Urban can go str8 to the nails section.
Get Your pics up and dont waffle and personalise too much (personally i dont go to anyone who says they'll wax my hairy bits as I'm quite personal about my intimate bits!:o)
You could lose most of that content and it would be just as good.

I would suggest that you try to be consistent with your font, type sizes etc. It really does make it hard on the eye. Oh, and stick to nice clean paragraphs and keep everything in line.

You don't need nearly so much on your home page. Remember, a picture can speak a thousand words! Stay professional, make the reader have total confidence in your ability as a therapist.

Your enthusiasm for what you do shouts from the page which is wonderful, try not to lose that when you make amendments though.

good luck!

Thank you all for your comments, they're just what I needed :)

I'm going to print this thread off and make the adjustments as I go along tonight and tomorrow night, depending on how long it takes me, the Godaddy loading can take a while sometimes

Thanks again chicks :green:
