...Mine! I'm so close to throwing it out of the window! HOW do I get the nail beds to stay in?!

I'm finding I can't file or blend effectively at all because the nail beds pop out the instant I apply the slightest of pressure to the nail. Does anyone else have this problem or is my trainer just faulty? What can I do to stop it happening?

:mad::mad::mad::grr::grr::grr:

When you press the beds in you need to hear 3 clicks, then they should be firmly attached!

The nail beds don't seem to go down three clicks. Well, they do but won't stay, they immediately pop back up to two 'clicks' then fly off when I try and work with them. It's worse on two fingers but they are all a problem.

i think i read somewhere that this is sometimes a problem if it is getting quite old...and essential nails will service them as the bits that grip the nail beds become loose.....dont quote me!!!!

I had the exact same problem using the college trainer which I opened from the brand new box. Ugh, it did my head in!! Will be good to see replies x

You can purchase the White parts that the nails clip into from Essential nails and they easily clip in place.

Try removing the rubber fingertips and see if they still pop out.

I think people take the removable part of the fingers off and this makes the nail stay on. xxx

If I remove the finger tips they don't pop out, they slide off the end of the finger. I'm sure they would pop out though. I think it's the pressure of the tips that causes the problem. I looked on essential nails but could not find the 'white bits'. Do you have a link? I may just be acting stupid.

mine 's the same really annoying !

It really hinders progress when you find yourself trying to hold the nail on and work on the nail at the same time. Applying tips is also a nightmare as when you apply pressure to the tip it see-saws off the nail bed. GRR! I got so cross earlier I removed the nail and then buffed it. Not something you can generally do when working on a client. Don't think it would go down too well :smack:

I thought I was the only one this happened to! Mine has just about done my nut in :irked:

You have to phone EN and ask them about the little parts you need. They should post them to you.

When you take the rubber tips off, make sure your nail bed is pushed right to the back of the channel it clips into xx

I wouldnt let it stop you buying one, they are invaluable for practicing on. They can suffer with wear and tear like everything else, but can also be repaired easily too.

totally agree-they are great. My friends would only let me practice so much before they had had all kinds of sets of and said ENOUGH!......

mine only does it on the thumb but if i take the rubber "flesh" part off its fine....

Mines fabulous !!!!!

They seem to click n stay, have you tried pushing the nails backwards??

Sometimes helps with the ping off ..

hi
try giveing it 3 clicks then it should stay in hun.xxxxxxxx

You are not alone I use mine to practice nail art in general but have tried to apply L&P on it before and I pressed down 3 times as the instructions said and the nail popped back up 2 clicks. ARRGGHHH!! Anyway I took off the finger tip and pushed the nail to the back and it stays in a lot better than with the finger tip on. I agree that the problem lies with the design of the finger tip as mine was brand new.

Give EN a call they might be able to help you or try taking the finger tips off and see how you get on.

Stevie :)
