Hi Geeks

Way back when (last year lol) & newly qualified I bought a lot of coloured tips, only to find that re-bal was going to be a pain in the butt so bought coloured l&P instead...

Now i still have all the tips and would like to put them to good use!

Thought about offering them as a temporary/party/clubbers/summer option on the understanding that they wont be rebalanced but not sure that this is very professional

Apart from filing in the B I N what could i do with them???

Keep it clean geekys lol

Hmmmm looks like the B I N then? lol

I don't see why you couldn't offer them as 'party nails' or 'weekend nails' hun

Lots of places offer this.... Just something for the big night out for people who don't want the commitment of maintenance...

Just be descriptive and I can't see there being any confusion (although you may get the odd one lol)

sorry hon im pretty new to the nail world but if i was you i would use them to display your nail art on, or to practice with, its better than bining them xx

Thx Emms thats what i was thinking....What sort of % cheaper do you think?

Jo i have stacks lol i couldnt nail art that lot ... i would throw all my toys out of the pram lol

Hmmm I'm not too sure,
Have a google around and see what salons or Techs in your surrounding area charge for weekend/party nails... I'd do that and take it from there hun

When I was in college and we did party nails, it was just prep tip application and then 2 coats of resin, so it should be a fairly quick service.....But also a 'specialist service'

you could also think about doing some kind of popit special 'limited' offer ...
Coloured tips overlayed with popits and they pay for a soak off included in the offer price (Adele's Idea )

This will provide a longer lasting superb shiny set for the client, they have already paid for the removal so no worries there, they can book in for removal before they leave
It gets them back in the door within a few weeks....
Quick effortless set for you to perform....and a happy client and you use up those tips....

Hmmm great idea that one ......

Summer Nights Tips & Soak Off ..... would the word temporary put them off, I need to get this right, it could end up biting me on the bum lol

Could be a good introduction to a full set of gleaming p&W'S...

I don't think I would use temporary...not for the popit set anyway...

I have had a few clients asking for nails for a special event who book in for a soak off at the same time. When they come in they are so pleased that they decide to have p&w applied. I think your idea could lead to a few new clients

I like the idea with the popits, and actually you can do 1 re balance with out changing the tip, I've found with the popits that the first re balance doesn't need the tip end moving, just file down and shape then re apply the popit and they're good to go for another couple of weeks. Thats how I did the ones in my album.
But yes I'd charge for a set, plus the soak of. I think you'll have a lot of clients that will like the whole ring the changes idea.
Where did you get your coloured tips from hun?

Rather than remove the coloured tip when rebalancing, you could add glitter l&p around the smile line, could like nice.

Sounds like the easiest solution to me.

I wouldn't sell them as party nails / weekend nails, it sounds a bit negative to me.... chances are they could be used to boost the nail art side of your business.

It takes a certain type of client to have coloured tips.
In my experience, this client will be thrilled to have glitter or a colour fade added at a rebalance!

It is part of the pleasure that clients get from nail art - watching their nails evolve one rebalance to the next.

The idea for me is to get them sold at a lower price & used up.

Dont really want to increase work with adding l&p/glitter as i already offer that as a separate service....(Great idea though).

Im going to go with the summer time tip n soak off idea i think ....I have brightly coloured pinks/yellows/greens/blues etc.....would suit a weekend away or a clubbing night..

I bought some of them from the beauty show last year and some from the dreaded online site lol

The PopIt and Soak is also a good idea.... not sure how I missed that

Either way, I would keep it positive!

Are they one solid color? The reason I am asking is because they would be great demo nails for water marbeling.

I love the poppit idea - However I am a new poppit user and am wondering exactly where it fits in my menu, I originally wanted it to be a quick weekend nail but realised the cost of re-white was more than what i was originally gonna do them for, like you I will promote them with coloured & white tips.

Yes its just getting the title right lol i need this to be watertight as in no rebalancing...

If your'e including the soak off price in with the application price hun, the choice of a rebal isn't there lol..... just the soak off....they will have already paid for it

And try to make sure they book in for the removal before they leave hun, otherwise you may get someone who wakes up one morning and thinks, Oooo I want these off today, then gets arsey when you can't fit them in, as the odd person will take the 'well I have already paid I want it now' attitude xx

Depending on how much time you have on your hands (this could take a while), you could mix your colored acrylic together in a larger batch to match the tips and then mark the container and keep it on hand for refills. Just a thought.

Have been thinking about this today and thought I may just use the coloured tips on say hairdressers/ bar staff to promote the service. They get their nails done cheaply with removal thrown in and their clients get to see amazing formed nails with a funky french!
