Do you believe in spiritulists, mediums etc?

its coming up to the 1st anniversary of me losing dd @ 6 mths

i have been thinking about her a lot, and what might have been - im even considering going to see a medium / spiritulist, but need to find someone reputable - does anyone have any recommendations?

i know im extremely lucky to already have a dd and everything i do is for her, but i just want to know that the baby i lost is at peace with my wonderful grandmother, so that i can smile again and try and get on with the rest of my life

what are your experiences of mediums, etc .. good and bad

I lost my mum 3 years ago and went along to a spiritualist church last year,after hearing some really good stories.
I didn't get anything come through but I think the medium was rubbish. He concentrated on the people that had been going to him for years. It made me wonder if he was making it up.
My mums ex husband went because he had lost his wife. He got a message from my mum telling him to look after himself and they kept talking about his health but nothing was wrong with him. It turns out he now has prostate cancer.

I think you just need to get a good one hun. Ask about and find out peoples experiences.
I do believe in them as i have heard some amazing stories that has bought a tear to my eye. And hey all of these guys cant be lying.
Maybe book a private reading. I do hope you get something but go with an open mind and remember it's not guaranteed that anything will come through. That is the hardest part about it xxx

Hi Blush, Ive had quite a few medium readings in the past....and all of them have been spot on with everything they have told me...!!! A friend of mine lost her dad a few years back.....when she visited him at the chapel of rest she left her dad a letter in his coffin....she never told anybody about this letter..!! When she had a reading the medium told her 'your dad has read your letter and thanks you'....she was totally gobsmacked by her reply!!!

It's interesting that our ancestors venerated their own ancestors & communicated with them continuously, often keeping parts of their remains in their dwellings, which kept them not only aware of their mortality but provided comfort that they were always there. Unfortunately our culture is divorced from mortality & views death as something dirty & evil, when in reality it should be embraced as a necessary part of life. I suspect part of the drive to acquire endless amounts of material goods is a symptom of modern mans obsession to anchor themselves into the physical world & avoid contemplation of our inevitable demise.

I feel spiritualism can have a useful part to play for some people in providing the comfort that some seek, just so long as one doesn't become obsessed with it & avoid living in the here & now - they had their time & now is ours so to speak.

I lost my mom 3 years ago and one of the girls at work organised a psychic meeting at her house in Feb.
There were 6 of us and i had never been to one before. 3 girls went in before me and were blown away by her so i was really excited when it came to my turn.
I never gave anything away and only gave yes or no answers. I got zilch, nada, nothing!!!!

' i'm getting someone called Dermot, Dennis, Den' er no idea what she was on about.
I was so disappointed!
The girl who had organised the meeting went in and came out in tears and said it was like having a conversation with her mom and dad.
They said i probably wasn't opening myself up to her-did i have my legs or arms crossed?
Eh? Didn't realise i had to sit there legs akimbo and arms flailing everywhere!
I didn't give anything away as i wanted her to tell me things not to give her little pointers and i'm sorry but i left there thinking it was a load of rubbish!

Having said that i did have a spiritualist come to my house to lay her hands on my cat! She was paralysed and couldn't walk or anything and by the end of the night she was walking!
So, who knows-coincidence-maybe!

My mum is a psychic she has been for about 23 years now. She as done articles in the spiritual magazines so obviously its a huge interest of mine. Also spell casting too.

I definately believe, so did my mom, I would love to go to a genuine psychic, but I just dont want to be conned, and I wouldn't give nothing away, as I know some can con, why do they play on peoples emotions ?? it's just so wrong.

I would know my mom would try and contact me !, before my dad died, we had our own resident ghost ( she said she would always live with me lol ), but then my dad went, so did the ghost ?? really wierd, and it's not in my head, because my intelligent son used to experience this ghost/being too x

but your daughter is still very young....she will have aged in 'her' life as she will have done in 'this' life....and so she wouldn't be able to have a proper conversation with you through a medium or anyone else....do you know what I mean?

I know you want to to know if she is surrounded by family and people who love her....of course she will be...and she is surrounded by love from you at all times.....she is in your heart, mind and soul and you are in hers....

I have said this many times.....but to feel your daughter and know she is happy....just look inside yourself and your heart....
You don't need someone else to tell you this....the best person to reach out to your daughter is her mum....

She is a special little girl who had a more important role elsewhere....but she hasn't left you...she is with you at all times....:hug:
