I love Nsi..the school I attend uses a different brand but I practice at home with nsi and I wouldn't use anything else. When I first started with NSI it took me ahile to get use to the ratio but after I got it..it was smooth sailing. The key is to work a bit wetter..the manufacturers instructions don't really tell you much but they have a great dvd on their products. Make sure you look at your bead..it should be a bit dimpled and glossy but not super shiny or runny. HTH

although iv been using nsi for a few years iv only recently delved into the world of sculpting pink and whites and iv found its absolutely fine for those of us who havent mastered the skill, i had enough time to work with it hth! x

Hello I use Nsi and love it easy to work with you, have to be fairly fast doing your smile line but you can do a very thin smile line then go over it again with another small bead just make sure you don't go over your already good smile line iykwim god it's hard to explain lol :)

I am not sure if they still do the Simpilcity range when I first trained with them this was what we used then, as it has a slower setting time than Attraction & others so you can get comfortable with your shape & smile etc, your best bet is to give them a ring they will advise you what is best for you.

Yes it does give plenty of time to move and work on the smile line, if you have the correct "mix ratio" (manufacturers recommended ratio of liquid and powder) Another helpful tip is to ensure that you are working and moving the product effectively. There is a great tutorial "Million Dollar Smile Lines" - i suggest you get some tips out, read the tutorial and practice. Then re-read the tutorial and continue practicing.
Keys are - correct mix ratio, bead placement, side to side pressing and gliding technique (as per tutorial) and practice.

Hi,

Just to clarify the ratio with you, are you using a 2:2 ratio?

The Attraction System needs to be used with a 2:2 ration
ie- fully immerse your brush in liquid, then wipe the full length of the bristles on side of dappen dish twice. With the wet side of the brush have contact with your powder for a count of 2 seconds, with white powder make sure the bead has 'wet out' then place bead down. With the pink make sure the bead has gone smooth then place bead down. The product should feel bouncy, the more you pat and press the more pliable the product becomes hence giving you plenty of work time for your smile line. HTH.

What do you mean wet out for the white? I was considering buying the 99. kit is the brush that come in it a good one?

Thanks for the plug on the DVD. The NSI website also has some mix ratio videos that show you exactly how your bead should look. We say "medium-wet" mix ratio, but it might be easier to see it with your own eyes rather than just imagine what we preceive as "medium-wet."

Hi,

I know this sounds really strange but I trained with nsi 7 years ago and had terrible trouble sculpting.I went for a one to one and gave the competition powder a try. For some reason, i got on better with it than the slower powder i was using at the time! I don't know how it happened but I left there having done a hand of great sculpts.

Has anyone used the new Illusions soak off Gel by NSI? I love NSI acrylic and balance gel but was wondering wat this was like. I currently use Calgel for those customers looking for a soak off gel. I like it but find it expensive, hard to create an apex and it yellows easily. How does it compare, pro's and con's.

Also has anyone tried the balance 3d gels?

Thanks in advance

Hey hun! Don't think the illusion gels are available until summer. The American website has them and they look great! Can't wait to try! Hth xxx

Thanks hun cant wait to try them :)

Hi I am wondering if anyone uses or used NSI classic powder with the universal liquid? I tried a sample kit of the attraction but find it a lil hard to get the white how I want it before it sets up. I want to try to classic but not if it is not recommened. I only hear about attraction when people talk about NSI, so if you is it please let me know what you think. Thanks

Hay, I have been using the NSI attraction system for 18 Months or so now, and IM IN LOVE! It really helped in minimising my lifting. Its a beautiful product to use. I would never change! I have done some vids on youtube, using attraction if you wana check them out.

Its a superb product and I would never consider changing! It seems NSI is just improving and improving!

Hope that helps

i used the classic powders when i was at college and although you might find them easier to work with im sure nsi are discontinuing the classic range so you would eventually have to use the attraction anyway.
i would just practice on some nail tips and if you go to nsi nail lab then you can watch loads of videos that will help you with the attraction range its www.nsinails.com all you have to do is register but its well worth it and simple enough to do.x

Actually I have seen your vids your one of the reasons I wanted to try it. You make it look so easy to move around. I still have problems moving the white before it sets up, but I have only been playing with the sample kit and that isn't much. Did you ever use the classic?

hiya all,

I got a sample arylic & gel kit from NSI with a dvd, i did a set if natural tip overlay, pink and pink, following the dvd, and its was great, not perfect smile line, but thinner nails.

Previously i was using too much acrylic, and they used to be quite thick. I suppose smile lines comes with practice. But im quite happy with the products and i am considering ordering more things from them.
