I use cream wax for normal waxing and nonstrip wax for intimate waxing.

I have heard of a hot wax that you remove with strips. How do people get on with this?

It takes me a while to do brazallians etc with nonstrip, and sometimes struggle to remove the wax, so i was thinking it must be quicker and easier to remove the hot wax with strips?? does anyone have any tips for nonstrip wax? I apply it to either side of the bikini and let it set. The thickness is about two fingers width.

what brands would you recommend? thankyou xx

Hi hun
i have not heard of a hot wax that you remove with strips ?
something that i do show students who have problems with certain areas and getting the starting point with the flick is to cut a piece of the removal strip (paper or fabric),
and when applying the wax to the area,
bring the wax over the piece of the removal strip at the end of the strip of wax, this way they don't need to worry about flicking up the end, they can use the piece of removal strip to start the pull off,
hth and makes sense,

in answer to your other question i use berins waxes, hth

Two fingers width is far too thick, unless you have incredibly thin fingers :)
One fingers width is too thick. It must be taking ages to set if you have it that thick. Try putting it on a lot thinner. Practice on yourself to get a good strip.
I also use Berins non strip wax.

Yikes..2 fingers thick!!!!!noooooooooooooo!!!!!!! what products allow that thickness?usually its about 2 or 3 layers......let cool then press with fingers to ensure set, lever off at corner and rip off,no strips.tho I know as a training aid u can use a thin wax strip in corner under wax as a lever to help.HTH :green:

I think she means the width of the strip ?

I was thinking the same as you Zoe... it would take a hell of a lot of wax to build a mountain of 2 fingers high lol!!

lol ..can you imagine trying to pull it off

yes, meant to say two fingers width. Duhh!!!!

That makes more sense then-lol.
Are you pulling the strip off in one go? Try bracing the skin and then pulling half the strip off , then re-brace the skin again to pull off the remainder. Always keep the skin as tight as you can and if you have a long strip then take it off in stages rather than in one go. :)

Ahhh! that sounds good, I will try that. Cheers everyone for helping! xxx:)
