I have advertised a 'special offer' of £15 for a full set of L&P in my local paper to get as much experience as possible and not forget my newly acquired skills.

It is 8.20am here and the phone has just rung - a girl looking to make an appointment.

We agreed on a date and time and then she asked me if her friend could come along (Grrr) I explained that my nail room isn't very big and that she would probably get bored.

Then she asks me if her friend had her nails done too, would I do a 'second one half price'

I explained what a fantastic offer it was already and she just said OK, I'll leave it.

And I thought I'd got balls

Ah, the nerve of some people!! I would never have the guts to do something like that.

Having said that, I do have a friend who barters on EVERY purchase she makes, you would think she does her shopping on a morroccan market place!! I asked her why she does this and to be honest her reasoning makes perfect sense, she said she's a new mum on maternity pay, and those odd pounds she manages to save here and there really make a difference when it comes to buying nappies etc.

Having said that though, someone who is trying to shave a few pounds from their budget is highly unlikely to be getting their nails done, I reckon you just got a first class cheeky mare there hun!!

Thats terrible why do people even ask? Its like going into a designer shop and asking for them dior jeans for £10 . See you try and put on for a good offer for people and they take it too far give them an inch and they will take a mile

Got to say i DO barter on everything i want !!!....but with a offer like that i would not have asked......there is asking and nearly crossing the line.....then there is asking AND crossing the line.
