Hi,
I have recently gained a new client whos 73, she has her acrylics painted in polish,Ive put two different pinks on since seeing her, but she wants something slightly darker, but not too dark, like my other polishes are.

Please help me choose a pink polish thats not too dark or light? Which ones popular for the maturer client?

I use mainly OPI & China glaze , but cant decide out of any of them.Ive also been looking at the Creative range too, and liking some of their pinks..but too many to choose from.

What finish does she like, matt, shimmer, metallic ?

creatives
sweet cakes is a mid pink with a matt finish
bed of roses is a bit lighter, also matt
love struck is a mid pink with a matt finish
romantique has a nice subtle shimmer,

my older clients all love in the mauve, that's a browny pink with a gold shimmer but may be too dark for your client, hth

I use Creative's New Year's Kiss for more 'mature' clients. It's lovely, and metallic, which most of them like. hth

I use CND polishes but stock 1 OPI colour and that is Aphrodite's pink Nightie it is really popular with the older ladies. It is a real mid colour not light or dark and a sort of heathery pink pearl - HTH

I have a 94 year old client who wears Negligie by Creative

Mmm , I was looking at the love struck one too last night and quite fancied that one myself.

Don't always presume just because someone is 'mature' they want pale or muted colours!!

My mother is 77 and loves scarlets and nail art (oooh the brazen hussy lol) and my grandmother wore hot pink to the day she died at 90:eek:

I know we are trained to advise the clients towards colours which suit their skin tone but I feel if it makes them feel good go for it:)

OPI's Hawaiian Orchid is very popular with my 'older' crowd. I like it, too!

Do CND still do Strawberry smoothie....I had a client in her 70's and that was ALL she would wear.
I absolutely hated it, as pearly pinks are just the worst colour for older hands......and yet that is all they seem to want...go figure

OPI 'To Eros is human' is a lovely older shade more a dark pink, or CND's Rose Bud.
You shouldnt generalise but the classic shades is usually what they go for or pearly hues.

Hi,
One of my favorite Pinks is SpaRitual "Strike a Pose", I always get comments when I wear it. It is a plain colour, no shimmer, but very classy.
Best wishes.
Lotsa luv x  x

even if they insist on a pale wishy washy pink, try out cnd's coco. its such a lovely colour, dark to hide short / diff lengths of free edge but still light iykwim!
i love it and so do clients!
