Hi I've just recieved some terrible news
my fiance had a fit on saturday night and was rushed to hospital after alot of tests they have found a tumor on the brain if it means anthing to anyone it's in the left basal ganglia extending to the left temporal lobe possibly the frontal lobe
they have said it's low grade and he feels a hundred percent they have let him out of hospital to be referred to a specilist team in newcastle there is a multi disciplinary meeting on friday to decide the nest step and they should be contacting us by the beginning of next week
I am terrified so scared and in shock what the hell is he going through
I love him so much and don't want to lose him

OMG Susan, thats terrible for you.

Hope you get good news at the meeting xxx

So sorry to hear your news. I do hope you get good news about his condition soon.
I will be thinking of you both.
Keep us all informed........we are all hear to help.....and listen.
Lotsa luv & hugs x   x

thanks I hope so
I've read loads of stuff on the internet and just frightened myself so I'm not looking now
I can't beleive this is happening he never goes to the doctor he's never ill
he's 43 and really strong and hard working.
he's lost his job now because he is a taxi driver and although it's not important we could lose the house
I don't care about that but he is focusing on this aspect.

So sorry to hear your news, keeping my fingers crossed for you and sending positive vibes.

My goodness, that's scary! I hope you get good news from the meeting.

Just stay positive - I know its hard to - but the other stuff is irrelevant - you both need to stay strong and focused.

Positive thoughts for you.

That's awful, but it may be a blessing in disguise that he had the fit so they could identify the cause and found the tumour while it's low grade. Don't look any more at the internet as it will not relate to him directly and will just scare you more. Don't let him look as the stress could hinder his recovery.

I am clinging on to this
He doesn't want to look on the internet as the doctors told him not to

Thankyou everybody for your support I really need and appreicate it right now

Hiya,

Just wanted to say, my sister has a very similar thing.

She had a few fits when she was younger (she's 17 now) and only about 6 years ago did we find out about the cyst.

I don't know the techinical info on it but I have seen the scan and it covers 3/4 of 1 half of her brain if that makes sense.

She had regular check ups with a specialist and was monitored for a few years but you would never even know.

We found out because, for the second time, she had a mild fit due to having a knock on her head from a fall.

She has been discharged from the hospital and was just told not to do certain things, only like bungee jumping and the like and to go back of there is any change or she has any problems, which she hasn't and more then likely, wont.

The cycst is big and they dont want to operate on it because they may cause damage to her brain so they decided to leave well alone unless anything changes and it starts affecting her.

I just wanted to tell you my sisters story and to let you know that this doesnt mean that his life will drastically change forever, there is hope that it could turn out ok ;)
Try not to dwell on things and dont think the worst hun, I did and got myself into a right state looking at stuff on the net!
xx

It's the night times that are the worst I just can't sleep I am laying there frightened he's going to have another seizure every movement he makes I jump and what the future holds
He is one of lifes nice people always joking and messing around he is my strength and now I have to be his but I worry
