Hi newbie here. I have been waxing for a short time and am happy with my waxing techniques - strip and non strip. Have done a fair bit now but only 1 or 2 areas on each client. I have had a lady book to have lots of waxing done - which is great but I am feeling a little unsure about what order to do it all in. She wants full legs, brazilian, underarms, upper lip and eye brows. I will do her legs with strip wax and the rest with non strip. Would you do legs, underarms, facial and end with brazilian? Any advice would be great.

I would do legs, brazilian, underarm then lip then eyebrows, i always work up the body when a client books waxing like this x

I work upwards too x

Hi,
Have to say, I work down as most of my clients like to have facial waxing done first in order to give any redness the chance to go down before they leave the salon.
I just usually say to this to my clients and they agree so maybe just give your client the option.
Regards
Heather

I would start from the feet upwards xx

I always do facial waxing first - for the redness to settle. Like Heather said.

i always work upwards get all the "sorest" bits out way and they relax more with facial waxing my clients always seem to relax when there legs and bikini out the way always say "glad that out the way" lol. just whatever your comfortable with also lets oils and creams soak into legs and bikini and underarms before they have to get dressed.

I would ask the client if the have any preference. Some clients find some areas more painful than others, also if the client goes quite red on the face or is concerned about it then do that first. Then work up from the bottom doing all the waxing on the front then turn over and do the back of the legs.

Same here! x

This is interesting, the majority of you said you work upwards. I work downwards! I always start from the face, down to feet. Wonder if it would make any difference?

Unless my clients specify I always start from the bottom and work up, then turn them over to complete the backs of legs, this way you save time in keep turning them over, every minute saved is a £ earned!.

I tend to do this too....if they are not bothered which order I usually start at the bottom and work my way up

xx

I work from eyebrows to underarms then toes to under arms on women. For men eyebrows to navel and then toes to navel.
I do the facial waxing first so any redness has calmed down before they leave. Then I do the front full legs, the front of the brazillian. Get them to turn over do the back of the brazillian and then finish the back of the full leg wax, this works for me because they only have to turn over once.
You'll find what works for you, as you can see we all get the same result but go about it in different ways.
Good Luck!

I always do the facial waxing first, the move down to feet and do front left leg, left side brazilian or bikini, left side underarm, and then move over, right leg front , right side bikini/brazilian, right side underarm and then get them to turn over and do the backs of legs and tidy up around bottom if necessary. Clients like this as it breaks up any discomfort, and it saves a lot of time moving back and forth from one side to the other.
:)

In winter if they are cold i do the warm bits first which gives legs a chance to warm up so less chance of sticking wax.

Lol. Sorry but that made me laugh
I think i'd freak if a beautician did half my bikini and then didn't do the other side till 10 mins later or so.
You must have to keep washing your hands all the way through waxing!

My sentiments exactly,It's like Chinese torture lol:lol: Most just want these sensitive areas done as quickly as possible nevermind prolonging the agony.
I tend to work up from the legs, but if I have a lip wax I would normally do that first because of the redness. I do always ask my clients what they would prefer me do first as some want to get the more painful areas done first or some would like to be broken in a little bit more gently...

I'd start my client laying on her front. Do backs of legs first (then she only has to turn over once) Then turn over to do fronts. Then brazillian, underarm, lip and eyebrows. I'd spend a little bit of time massaging the cream into her eyebrows. I just think it's a nice finishing touch when you have had so much waxing xxx

If there is no facial waxing involved then I would start at legs and work my way up. However, as most ladies tend to worry about going out of the salon with pink lip/eyebrows, I would do the facial waxing first in order to give the skin time to return to normal colour before leaving the salon.

I always do face first, work down to the legs the turn them over for the back of the legs. Most of my clients worry about going out with the tell-tale red lip or eyebrows, so I always want to give them the maximum time for the initial redness to subside.
