This thread is great! It's nice to see that we all have some kind of worldly experience.

While finishing high school and then college I worked some restaurant and retail jobs.
Then I worked as a convenience store/gas bar manager.
Then I opened a personal assistant business in 2001 while training to do nails and gaining a university diploma in Self Employment.
Then I couldn't decide what I wanted to do....I worked mobile for a while.
Then I trained as a Optometric Assistant while working in a busy clinic and also worked in 2 salons.
I painted (still do) in my spare time and sold pieces all over the world.
Last year we moved to a small little town, and yesterday I picked up the keys to my new nails salon. On to the next phase.

Oh yeah, and I had 3 kids amongst all that, they keep me busy and entertained, always.

Hairdresser
Bt operator
interior design & decorative paint techniques (college)
manageress of a retail company
Nail technician.

10 years time I would like to be teaching and would like to have won
a nail competition!!!

I spent 20 years as a ornament painter/decorator, worked for robert harrop, country artists, amongst others, also used to do fettling on pewter thimble pieces,as well as paint them....
To be a nail tech when ive qualified...yippy.....a job that can be enjoyed is the key to part of lifes happiness......:)

Hmmm well I worked as a plus sized glamour model and escort for 3 years, met my fellow and stopped it when we moved in together over a year ago, mainly got into the escorting cos money was tight, left school with no qualifications and had a sick mum so weren't many choices. Now I am in the process of setting my own business up in nails and going college in september to do hairdressing and beauty therapy. So pleased I left the adult business, am a million miles away from that now and loving my life finally.

I worked in a police station canteen when i left school and then worked in a factory making uniforms for banks. Great eh

My first job was on a fair ground, I grew up in Ramsgate Kent and they had a static fair, did that for 5 years. Ok then normal stuff like check out girl in a supermarket, and cleaning jobs army wife, worked in the screws mess and then in a cafe in Grimsby, then stay at home mum
Then I was the same as an rspca officer but in Belgium
Then service co-ordinator for an Canadian electronic pre press company.
Then came back to live in England and
Became a bus driver
then a taxi driver
Discovered nails, cnd chic, moved back to Canada and told me to do it:lol:
But life has a way of biting you in the.........so
I drive a bus again and have a home studio which I hope to build up to the point where I can stop driving buses for good.
Ten years from now I'd like to be offering nails, waxing, spray tans, and permanent makeup.
Good thread Collin:hug:
