When applying p&w l&p, do you do all the whites first, then go back and do the pinks, or do you do each nail with white and pink as you go?

I ask as I know a few different techs who do it either way.
Is there a reason why you should do it one way? Or is it just down to personal preference?

Thanks in advance for any answers :)

I think its personal preference. I do white then pink as I go.

Personal preference!! I do it both ways, depends how the mood takes me & what the clients nails are like!! :)

i normaly do one of the time :)

I do all my whites then my pink BUT if im having an off day and my whites are doing as they are told i will do a few then my pink and then go back to white lol

I always do my white and pink directly as i go. I do this mostly since the nail is dehydrated for about 45 min. In this way when i do the white and the pink directly i am sure that i have a perfect clean surface to work on. When i start with the other hand i use scrubfresh again so that i have another 45 min for optimum result. That,s why it is my personal preference.

I was taught to do my whites first, but couldn't get it right. I had a naughty habit of pulling my pink over the white and clouding my smile line, because I couldn't get it close enough otherwise.

Now I do my pink first, I can easily push the white into place, getting it close enough but not going over the pink.

Still not perfect smiles yet, but they're getting better everyday.

Hi

I always do pinks first as I do revers application.

It can vary but normally I do the whites, then the pinks. If I have a new client who is anxious to see what they are going to look like, or a bit confused by the process, I will always complete the small nail (well not the finishing, but the p&w) to put her mind at rest, as sometimes they don't really know what to expect, they see the white go on and just think  where's the rest of it lol!

i alway do white them pink

i do all my whites first, i feel i get more consistency in my smilelines if i do all 10 at once. then i do the pink.

i do my white then pink then on to the next nail.
when i use ezflow cover pink i do the pink first then the white
tracy x

i do all the whites- then all the pinks.:)

Hey cool thanks guys, this is really interesting hearing what everyone does and why :)

Thats whats so awesome about this forum, instead of having 1 person telling you "this is how you do it", you can get such a varied answer, and pick out what is best for you :)

i do pinks first then white,(reverse) all 10 pinks then whites sculpted but like blossom said if someone is unsure its good to finish up 1 first x

Hi I do the whites then the pinks as thats how I was taught but I have been trying the reverse technique as my smile lines are so much when I do them that way.x
