Hahaha ,
I thought it was pointless at first too, but i love it now,
mostly its just a silly but very addictive site where you can be daft, and waste some time if you have any to waste !!!

Theres games , quizzes allsorts , you can send messages add a instant messanger on there,
but you can also look up people, towns, workplaces ect..yep a bit like friends reunited, but you dont have to pay to contact them lol

I have had an old school pal add me , and also a male one (was my bezzie mate ) but im not allowed to add him back , my bloke would have a fit lol

ooooh sass you might find mr right on there hun .....or mr RIGHT you'll do for now !!! :green:

Id start by nosing through peoples profles that you have found, then add things like groups and applications from their profiles,
thats what i did anyway ,
and usually if you find a group or something , like the nail geeks for instance,down the right hand side will be some links to other groups of similar interest etc ....just click , join em' you can leave them at any time xxx

So is there any point to facebook, or is it a bit like a glorified Friends Reunited? ... I still don't get it :smack:

basically.. facebook is networking website.. networking as in you can make new friends.. find old friends.. join groups.. telling people about you.. etc...

the brilliant thing about facebook is that you can easily keep in touch with people who you wouldnt otherwise have the time for.. logging in everyday tells you exactly what all your friends have been up to..

after youve used it a while.. you will find that you can upload photos.. write pms etc to your friends.. if you click into your friends profile you can see their recent photos and events too..

so for example.. after ive had my baby.. i can post photos of him on facebook and then notify all my friends.. much easier than sending it out by email.. you can also leave comments and things too..

all those funny poke, flowers, happy hour etc stuff... they are all just applications for a bit of fun.. y'know.. a bit like adele's famous parties.. a web game... you can ignore them or you can add the application and have a little play..

Not quite! They get sent an email to see if they will accept you from what I can gather

They have to confirm your request before you can see their full profile hun :green:

no.. they have a choice of accepting or rejecting your invitation..

and its only if they accept and confirm they want you as a 'friend' that you can view their profile and personal detail.. works the same way the other way round.. you have to say ok to be their friend before they can see your info too..

so in a way.. its quite secure.. not any old d1ck and harry can see your personal info.. onyl people who you have added as your 'friend'..
