Hi geeks just wondering if any of you have heard of this and if any of you are going?
My lovely tutor is giving us the day off college to travel up to the 02 with her to learn about anatomy & phisiology on real human bodies.

You may have seen on the t.v (I think it was last year) a show with a man called Dr Gunther Von Hagens. People donated their dead bodies to medical science and he showed us what was inside the human body.

Well this is a show with dead bodies that shows all the anatomy and phisiology as well as what happens to our bodies from smoking etc.

A lot of my friends think i'm sick but i find it really interesting! And cant wait to go!!

Is anyone else going to this?

A friend visited this exhibition last summer in Liverpool and said it was brilliant... so very interesting.

I visited this exhibition at the manchester museum of science and industry earlier this year..it was fab!! it was fascinating, only prob was we'd already sat our a&p exam!!lol
xx

When the series was on TV a couple of years ago I stayed up very late to watch all the programmes and it was fascinating.

Many many years ago I had to attend a post mortem as part of my WPC training and I would love to go see this guy in action for real as A&P fascinates me. Unfotunately I didn't get to go to the exhibition in Manchester.

Hope you have a great day.

I went to the one in Manchester earlier this year and it was amazing,
there is no yuck factor like you would expect,
and the poses that he uses for his models are mind blowing,
very worth while to go to,
i got told off for taking photos with my phone so i had to pretend to delete them lol,
wear something warm as they have to keep it cool in the exhibition hth

if my phone wasn't almost as old as me i would upload the pics to my PC so everyone could see them but it didn't come with any fancy wires to do that type of thing  sorry hun,

When i went to the Manchester one the Dr was there!
I went on the first day it opened in Manchester and apparently he had been there meeting the staff etc,so you might be lucky if you can make it on the first day!
