Just browsing a salon website and came across this.. a deluxe pedicure that includes callous peel and paraffin wax and a french polish... it's £93!!

Oh, if you want a colour rather than french it's only £90.

Wouldn't it be lovely to have clients that want to part with that kind of money for pretty feet?

Nicer still, to be able to afford to have it done

Oh my god! Was it in a really posh area? Yes that would be so nice to be able to afford it!
I worked at a hairdressers in Wimbledon Village when I left school and they charged £200 for a perm. This sort of money was nothing to these women.
I don't know though if I would pay that if I was loaded and could go and get the same for £30 somewhere else. xxx

PMSL book us both in Zoe and sod it, we will have the french polish

It's in Reading town centre. Thames Valley is reasonably affluent but I wouldn't say posh. Henley, Marlow etc much more posh.

I wonder if anyone has it??

You can pay extra to have bio instead of polish...

book me in too, I'll have the french ...oooooo what the heck, I'll have a rhinestone too !!!!

If I was charging £90 for a pedicure I really don't think I'd have the nerve to charge extra for French LOL

I wonder if the poor therapist gets the minimum wage?

OK, that rhinestone will be an extra fiver.

We might get charged for our coffees too.

To be honest even if i could afford it i wouldnt have it done!

Can do it myself :D

Stuff it, I will treat all the geeks to one!

Hell it better be good coffee

The state of my feet right now, it would be worth £90!!

and i bet it would be no different to one we all provide for clients now, i don't even know how they can actuallycharge that less there using products with 24ct gold in.

Hell fire, I would want my lunch for that aswell as a glass or three of champagne lol.

Who knows, maybe a Geek owns it and will tell us. As prices can vary massively across hair salons why shouldn't it be the same for a Nail Salon? The Hairdresser I go to charges double what the ones more local to me does, I still go back because I love the luxurious feel of the place, I always leave feeling like I had a real treat and although I have had great appointments at the local salons I just love the one I go to. I've been going there for 16 years when I can get there, their prices have steadily risen but I just feel that they are fab and stay with them. If that Salon is charging that for luxury pedicures and can get it good luck to them. For that price I hope it really is very luxurious in the Salon but if its working for them that is fantastic.

I know what you mean Min, the salon where I go for my hair cut is more expensive (not by a massive amount) than anywhere else in my town, plus I think I pay a bit more because I have the salon owner/top stylist do my hair. But it is really worth it, the cut and finish is always fab, they do free fringe trims inbetween appointments, beverages and chocolate/sweet complimentary and as soon as you walk through the door they know your name and really look after you. Also with me I hav'nt to get water in my ears because of perforated eardrums and I have never had to remind them.

But, £93 for a pedicure is a bit ridiculous in my mind, but if they are busy like you said good luck to them, I just hope the therapist is being paid accordingly as already mentioned.

whilst i woulnt actually pay that much for a pedicure i would love to earn that much for doing them.
i like to think i do a great pedi , but i think i could step up my service even more at that cost.

I don't know if the salon is busy or not but when I walk past, there is never anyone in there. BUT it may just be coincidence that I always walk by at a quiet time. I do agree though, that if people pay, good luck to them!

When you consider the hourly rate they want to charge their therapists out at, and the products used, I can see how they've arrived at that figure. Just don't think I would pay it.

Waxing for me probably brings me my best hourly rate. Pedicures not so good. BUT I like to keep my pedicures affordable so clients keep them up all year round. If I was set on making £40-£50 ph, then I would defo have to put manicures and pedicures up!

£93? Bargain, i'll have two lol.

There's a salon near me that charges £18 for a brow wax which i think is rather steep. They always seem to have a lot of staff hanging around the reception area so i don't think they are too busy.

I was wanting to book a paraffin (grr can never spell that) mani and pedi today and was somewhat alarmed to find that that was £85 so to pay just that for a pedi? Oh no no no
