RIP ole' crazy geek
Our new logo was actually designed almost a year ago in anticipation of a site redesign (which has been put on hold pending some additional developments). I wanted a look and feel that brought a touch more style while still capturing the fun that is the cornerstone of our profession and our community (hope you agree it does!).
Although its sort of sad to say goodbye to the original "Freaky Geek" icon, it was originally only intended to be a self portrait back when the site started off as samuelsweet.com so many years ago. Although the old logo was indeed distinctive, the new logo is more representative of our profession and community, while still tipping its "hat" to the past.

After a lot of work, time and patience (especially waiting through Apples approval process) I am pleased to announce that you can now find SalonGeek apps for both the iPhone and Android. These are both first generation apps designed to make your mobile geeking easier and funner. Though not all features on the site are duplicated in the apps, there are already more in the works and hopefully it won't be much longer till we see these updates released into the wild

Speaking of spreading the word, we have added the ability to "Tweet" and "Like" threads on Facebook. This is a great way to bring attention to discussions on the site that others should check out! Spread the word and spread the buzz!
