I changed my bedding last night & my quilt to a much thicker one. I just love getting into a freshly made bed.

I also love a nice glass of red, & I love the sound of my girls laughing.

I don't particularly like doing the housework but feel very satisfied when I've made the effort.

I'm easily pleased, & these things bring a smile to my face, making me feel happy.

So, what makes you fellow geeks happy?

ooo yes, freshly made bed is fab!
And not having to get out of bed when the alarm goes off.
And the first cup of tea of the morning.
And climbing into bed with my lovely husband every night.

Mmmmmm
:)

Happiness is...being with my Baby D (see avatar)! He makes my day every time! :)

...walking my dog in the sunshine - before all the picnic-ers come out!
Cuddling up with my dog on my bed.
Driving in to work with a cup of coffee in a thermos mug on a saturday or sunday morning (when there is no traffic).
Realising there is no queue approaching the slip road on my way home from work
Getting into bed every night.
Starting a book.
Finishing a book.
CSI and Law and Order
Realising that it is my day off the next day
Lots and lots of silly little things

I am generally quite happy actually and extremely easily pleased! Lol Lx

Happiness is...
  • Having someone pleased with my work
  • Cuddling with my kitten
  • Watching the mice play
  • Thinking of the good times

Dancing and laughing with my girls (or rather them laughing at my attempt at the pussycat dolls routines ) :green:

Watching one of my kittens snuggle up to my doggy for a sleep...sooooo cute.

Lying in a dark room with only either a candle, or Xmas tree lights on, Listening to pink Floyd or something similarly chilling outy !

Driving on and emptyish road on my own when there is that slight sunshine, but the clouds in the distance are a mixture of Grey and orangey pink !

Tackling something I have been meaning to do for a long long time ....

These are the things that when they happen, I actually stop and think for a second "y'know what...I really love my life"
I forget about bills, and plans I never followed, and podgy tummys, and spots...and everything just for a few lovely minutes
alltogether now.......AHHHHHHHHH !!! lol :D

And finally, (although there are probably many more things) getting out my suitcase of "old stuff" and reminiscing over the girls baby things, and my old diaries etc...

Happiness is having my kids around me and laughing till we cry, Feeling proud of what I have, A lovely warm summers day by the lake, Watching my mum walk after months of trying, My dog with her happy smiling face being so pleased to see me even though she saw me 5 minutes ago........ And life yep no matter how bad it gets I am happy to have been given it to live:)

Thats sooo right mate,
It's the moments that make you realise how lucky you are to have what you have,
Instead of feeling bad about what you haven't got isn't it,...

The older I get the more I appreciate things I think.

having my kids and grandkids around me
having a bulging bank balance (laughing all the way to the bank - NOT)
hearing babies laugh
waking up the next morning
knowing my hubby loves me
having my parents around me

the list could go on, but i wont bore ya all

= being content with .......... whatever

* opening a bottle of wine (that cork popping does it for me everytime)
* opening a large family size bag of revels
* my son coming up and cuddling me without me having to ask
* cold winter nights where you HAVE to cuddle up in bed
* the first sign of winter ending
* sun shining gently on your face
* first cuppa of the morning
* satisfaction of teaching someone a new therapy and seeing their face when the "get it"
* knowing that all my family are well
* having everyone in the house and knowing they are all safe
* switching on the laptop

Happiness is.................being at peace with yourself and those around you:)

happiness is that sigh you make when the world around you is contented, happy and without drama......and my 3 boys are now old enough to brew up for me...and go to the chippy :lol: thats happiness for me.
