On July 4, 1776, America claimed independence from Britain and so the Brits came to know the phrase "Only in America".

Just wanted to say a Happy Independence Day to all our American friends on the site, hope you have a great day however you wish to spend it. I'm only jealous because you have a public holiday today and its lovely weather outside and we've all got to work.

Got to say, i went on base to a little village called feltwell last night, MY GOD. It was a fantastic night,the firework display was out of this world,i am defo going next year. The fireworks were going off in the shape of love hearts. Truely amazing ......amercians really know how to make you feel welcome and have a party !!
