Hi Everyone
I need some advice on waxing a larger client
I find it dificult to wax the inner thigh (when the client is lying on her back)
I find it difficult to get the skin taut as thee is a lot of adipose tissue there. I was finding that it was really difficult to remove the wax and i bruised the client last night. bless her.
and was wondering what is the best way to position the client for waxing on that area.
xxxxxx

What I find works well for the inner thigh area is for the client to have one leg flat on the couch and to lift the other leg in the air as high as she can whilst putting their hands behind their knee. That way you can then get to the skin on the inside of the thigh that is in the air - the skin there is now more firm so makes it slightly easier too.

Another way is for the client to lie on her side with one leg in front of the other (a bit like the recovery position) and you can then get to the inside of the thigh, but the skin isnt as firm as the first suggestion, but is slightly more comfortable for the client.

Hope this helps.

Hi hun, i wax an awfull lot of the larger lady, infact most of my ladies are what i call a curvy lady, not quite sure why, but any how. I strongly recommend u use the hot wax on these areas and remember to hold the skin and not the limb, ie the adipost tissue. It is the skin that re-tracts and causes the bruising. Also do not work in large amounts, ie little by little you get there better. i tend not to get the client to hold things, as other wise they just get in my way and end up covered in wax were they do not want it:cry: If your lady is relaxed with u, simply bend the leg so the knee is pointing outwards, this will help u a little. But i do feel that strip wax on the larger lady is less forgiving and that with hot wax bruising almost never occurs. I am sure some of the other wax geeks will give u some great input and perhaps explain things a little better than myself. i find it so hard to put into words. But kimmi on here is very good at writing and explaing and so are many of the others. Good luck hun hope i have helped a littlexxxx:)

Get the client to stretch with you and do small areas at a time.

Hi Honeymummy i totally know what you going through as i did the same amd im dreading the next, she is a lovely lady and said not for me to worry as everybody has struggled waxing her over the years.Little areas is the key i think!

Get your client to let their legs drop down the side of the bed. Their thigh will still be on the bed and their lower leg hanging. This will give you loads more room to work and the skin will be stretched taut.

Use non strip wax if you can but if not, stretch the skin just below where you remove the strip and remove it in very small bits. Make sure your wax is wafer thin. xxx

I love that term, wafer thin, its funny. How thin is a wafer?! lol. an ice cream wafer is quite thick really, but wafer thin ham, well, thats wafer thin, lol. I think ive gone mad! :D (sorry to go off topic, i plead insanity) xxxxxx

Hun u will be just fine, when you bruise some one it automatically knocks your confidence but honestly if u just work in smaller areas u will be just fine i promise and your ladies will love u for it. be confident and your ladies will love u and come back over and over again, with confidence comes respect and then the larger lady feels more comfortable with u and u both reap the benefits.xxx

I don't like asking my clients to help, but when they are larger you have to! One of my ladies tummy covers her lady bits so she has to lift it out the way for me so I can see  Get her to stretch with you and definately try a non strip wax if you can. xx

I get everyone to stretch be they large or small. There is nothing to be shy about it makes it hurt less on smaller ladies too!

I always do the stretching as it's sods law that they'll put their hands in the wax. xx

I always place their hands on! This does still happen, but rarely! I just find on the bikini and thigh it is better with three hands rather than one (the one not on the strip!)

I use non strip on the bikini so you don't need any help....you just stretch under where you pull and follow it along close behind.

If I were to use strip wax, I use my thumb and fingers to stretch from both sides, above and below. xxx
