Hi I was wondering if anyone out there could please give me some feedback on which gel products work best for them for block colours on nails - I have always used acrylic but recently converted to gel for thing like overlays/ colours etc but have only been using Ez-Flow, which is not the best to be honest. I am looking for a range that can offer me loadsa bright fab colours, which can also be soaked off rather than buffed off - something which really makes me uncomfortable!!! Be very greatful to anyone who can help...:)

here are a few...

Bio Sculpture

Calgel

Akzentz Options

All great colour soak off gels.

Le Chat also do a lovely range of soak off colour gels called Nobility.

Apparently they are comparable to BioSculpture in terms of wear, but much more affordable.... might be worth a look?

I have just done the Calgel course and have to say i absolutely love it!!! Just had my first paying client in and she thought her nails looked fab. I

Le chat for me I have some of the colours and the glitters and I love them and so do my clients, I have never had any problems with them at all. xx

Hi,

Have you tried Go~gel its relativly new.

Easy to apply, full colour achieved in one application, fab range of colours and easy soak off!

I love it.

Donna :) x

le Chat if I had to offer gel colors.

great choice, inovative products

who uses le chat gel?

Where do i get it from?

Hi i use EzFlow for everything except for colour witch i use IBD which have Buff off gel colours & Soak off colours and as its made by the same manufactures as EzFlow it won't give you any problems.....

for natural and french gels you can get soak n buff gel from The Edge. Also, for a wonderful range of colours Biosculpture is a soak off gel system!!

see, what threads like this do is just give a list of who uses what....we are all going to say that our chosen gel is best...

Its best if you can to try out some gels...either get sample kits....or go to a trade show where you can have a nail done.

Or even ring round a few salons and ask what gel they use and book your self in to have your nails done.

It really is worth researching the gels well before committing to the kit/lamp/training...ect

^then I understand why you're so good at nail art in gel!!

Go-gel also do a dusting system like Lachat i've used this on problematic clients especially those i've converted from liquid and powder to gel
simply add to a normal gel application just by adding a layer of dust inbetween.

Go Gel

If you have just recently converted over to the EzFlow Gel It system, then you can always get back to your educator if you are having any teething problems, we are a very approachable bunch at EzFlow Scotland. :)
Also if you have a look in the articles here you will see one regarding the pros and cons of buff off and soak off gels. Personally I much prefer a buff off gel for its durability, and it is very rarely you do need to actually take the product off.
Regards the colours EzFlow have only recently brought out their 2 colour gel collections, but there are more colours in the pipeline which I am sure you will find fab!! Here is that article...http://www.salongeek.com/general-articles/35483-choosing-correct-gel.html

Absolutely agree Angie, but as I have said I do think it is also important to get back to your existing Educator/Distributor if you are having any problems, as they could probably be sorted out quite easily,

Yes you can. Le Chat has many types of gel in its product range, including sculpting gels.
