baby bible bashers - pushy parents?

anyone watch this last night? I thought it was disturbing, especially the little blonde boy, he looked so scared being out in a big city with people yelling!

I'm all for religious freedom, and I dont like being preached at BUT!! I really felt sorry for these kids.

By the way I am NOT talking about religions as such in this post, just pushy parents and they ways the adults seem to be using the kids

I saw that. I think the children did have a genuine love for god so I dont think they were pushed in that sence but that poor (forest gump type) little boy did look very scared in the cities didn't he.

I grew up going to church and i have never seen anything like it!

I wonder how long these kids will continue to preach?

shocking... and how can anyone take these little kids seriously when they are too young to really understand what they are talking about.

I reckon the little dark haird lad's brother will be drumming in a rock band soon, he was fab lol!

But seriously, I did feel sorry for that other little lad, he was so scared about going to hell, and also I did not like the way his mum belted him when they were on the bus - I'm not saying that a smacked ass will ruin your life, but I reckon that little kid will grow up a bit confused, especially as he is home schooled too.

Omg i was horrified The way that child was crying when she hit him.

This program IMO showed how extremism IN ANYTHING can be very harming.

The father who came back into his childs life to "market him" the girl sleeping next to her father,the child being hit (i smack bailey's leg on occasion) this was different are all examples of how people really can take things too far.

If someone finds comfort or whatever they are looking for in anything,i have no right to judge but surely this can not be right

The whole program turned my stomach,i stayed tuned simply to "see" how other people live

I didn't see the program, but it strikes a chord in me.

I remember when I lived in an apartment block, and a man was going door to door with his kids in tow.
I think he figured if his children were there, I wouldn't argue with him. At one point, he tried the "my kids need a break, can we can come in for a moment"
He was pushing religion and wanted to come in. I kept the chain on the door and made it clear we had nothing to discuss.
He was getting very rude, despite his children standing there.

I closed the door on him.

I think that people that use their kids, whether for religion or anything else are DISGUSTING and NOT fit parents.
Children are to be treasured and not used as tools!

It looked to me like these parents were trying to give themselves a status through exploiting their children.
The parents try to justify the children’s talents by saying they are a gift from God...RUBBISH.... this is brainwashing from parents who want to be famous and can't achieve this on their own.

That idiot man!!!, Taking his child and putting him be right in the line of fire in New York, just to prove a point to his son that the world isn't a perfect place. That little boy was scared and very confused, instead of ranting on at his, not so receptive, onlookers the father should have taken some time out to practice what he preaches and comfort and look after his son.
For goodness sake children learn this quickly enough these days without having to go to extremes like that.

''Suffer little children'' is a quote from the Bible...I think the suffering for these children will happen as they mature into confused, disturbed, brainwashed adults!!!

I have been bought up in a strong Baptist faith.... NEVER once did my parents subject me to this kind of abuse.

I know we live in a society were we are supposed to be tolerant of other peoples beliefs and way of life but when I see children being used and IMO abused in such a way it makes my blood boil!!![/FONT]

I found it quite upsetting seeing those children being manipulated and almost bullied into it. I think that parts of what's going on there would be classed as child abuse here in the UK.

Wow i never watched the show but i'm kinda glad i didn't.

I think children should be educated and allowed to make their own descision.
I'm so not a pushy mum, my twins get a the best education i can get them and i bring them up to be confident and open minded.

I wouldn't feel comfortable controling their thoughts.
