Hi all

I was practicing sculpting and the only model I could find was my chap (God it is so hard to do mens nails ) but I think they were ok.

OMG!! can't believe your fella let you do that to him LOL:)... don't ever let him get away

Great nails by the way but think they'd look better on you:green:

very nice! my bloke wont even let me wax him let alone put enhancements on!!

Great job!!! I wish my husband was so loyal!!!! хх

I'm lucky enough to have a man that will let me practise different things when needed, including enhancements, he even came into college for my nail art assesment, I'm so lucky :)

I will let you all into a secret but you must not tell anyone . He let me wax him to practise when i first quailfied and he is great as he lets me practise nails on him all the time the only probelm is i find it very difficult doing his nails as the nails are large.

I had to take my gay husband for my exflow nail design - he was very impressed and was considering becoming a drag queen called F*nny Scratcher!!

Considering they are big nails you have done a really good job though! xx

well done hun they look great!! im sure his hands are far prettier now. What you should do now is what i did to my boyfriend and pretend you don't know how to get them off lol!!

lol good plan. x

I haven't voted as I am training myself (well will be in 2 weeks)
I can't believe ur chap let u practise on him..............just asked my chap and I cannot put into print what he told me to do!!!

Hi,
You did a good job there.
I was practising on my hubbie last year putting him l&p nails on. At the same time my daughter was playing and putting him hair slides in.
HOWEVER, my 24 year old son's friend came through to say hi and you should have seen his face. It took him about 30seconds to register what was happening. LOL. We still smile about it now.
JES x

Great nails doll your man is a gem... There all a soft square except the index need softened up a little at the free edge corners... But really good considering the wide man nails... I would pay for them... xxx

They are really nice. Bless him for doing that for you

Nearly inhaled my coffee laughing at that!

I'm in no position to comment on these nails (they look good though!) as i'm still training, but i'd just like to say thanks for posting this, i've been badgering my husband all day to let me practice on him and its been a firm NO until i read out some of the comments on this thread, he's now said yes! ha!

lol freakin brilliant!!!!! x

My husband has let me practise mani/pedi and nail art on him. I badgered him to let me practise gel toes, too. He watched the footie while I was shoving him in and out of my lamp, to an assortment of french/coverage gel digits. He did make me buff them off for the summer, though, and just prayed he never had an accident requiring hospitalisation and the removal of his socks!

these look great! My hubby wouldn't let me put nails on him but does let me practice my waxing on him. He's a bit of a girl about it though - says it hurts lol.

I got a man like that too, I actually found it easier to do sculptured nails on my man than on my sister as he has wider nails (obviously).

They look really good, well done :) even a good posed picture haha x

It is hard on nails that are 'man sized' to make them look sleek and anything like 'girly'.

My comments taking alll that into consideration are that a guy can be good practise for just getting the forms on if nothing else; a challenge in itself to begin with!! The side walls need to be much straighter and shape as consistent as possible on all. Maybe the flatness is also due to size and men do not have a pronounced C curve normally either. Difficult to really give these a proper meaningful critique.

Lets see more on a female and get the real practise you need.

For what it is worth we have used my husband's pinkies many a time for sculpting practise and they are gorgeous. When finished we cut down the free edge and he just grows the product off in about 8-10 weeks ... never gets a bit of lift and is gardening mad and never wears gloves!!
