Hi i have had a phone call from a hairdresser who wants l&p on any advice only i no l&p doesn't like water and i am worried she will suffer from lifting and blame me is this the case or am i being paranoid!

I often do, in L&P, even sometimes in gel, and did in microwrap. the condition to avoid lifting is to use a good sealer for the 3 techniques

I have 4 hairdresser clients, they all have l+p with no problems,
So yep it will be ok hun
Of course she needs to make sure that they follow ALL aftercare advice...
If she does happen to come back with any problems, don't automaticly assume it is because she is a Hairdresser hun,

I do my hairdresser too, no problems as yet

Why do you think L&P doesn't like water??? L&P are perfectly fine in water and a little after care with Solar Oil.

What you take out you must put back in. If you dry the enhancements out in water all day, then it stands to reason you have to put the moisture back in at some stage.

The only challenge hair dressers have with ANY enhancement material is keeping the product supple and moisturised. If they can do that, they will be fine.

I know very few hairdressers who DON'T wear L & P. They've been my fav for years!! I am good about oiling.

Well im a hairdresser and have worn l&p for the 8 years i`ve been doing nails and had no problems with water, the only thing have a problem with is gettin myself to wear gloves when doing colours so i don`t stain them lol :)

I hav a few hairdresser clients including the girls i work with xx

ok will give it a go then, none of my other customers have complained of lifting just wanted to make sure. It was my trainer who said l&p hates water and oil too for that matter but it wasn't cnd doing the conversion course next week can't wait. xx

Hiya,

I have hairdressers as clients also. They have no problems, as long as you tell them to follow your advice for after care they will be fine. I actually put a thin coat of super shiny gel over the top of the acrylic nail (very common in Australia) as this seals it in and will not absorb hair dye as much... Although, i do ask them to wear gloves when doing hair colours.

Give it a go, you can only try... But im sure it will be fine. :)

I have a hairdresser client. She is quite bad with her aftercare despite reminders (she's never bought a bottle of Solar Oil!). She does get lifting, but not any more than I would see on any other client who wont solar oil, and she accepts that the lifting is due to her not taking care of them. I would go ahead and do the enhancements for your hairdresser client.

The only thing to watch for is that hair dye does stain l&p, so get your client to wear gloves while she colours.

Hairdressers can be great clients. Yes they need to oil their nails as Geeg said, and definitely wear gloves when tinting. Oh and they need to be told not to go 'digging' for little bits of hair stuck down their nails !!
Once they do all that though.......their hands are on show ALL DAY to their clients, great advertising!!
Make sure she has plenty of your business cards to give out.

The only thing to be aware of is that she hasn't had her hands submerged in water for a long period of time before you aply the enhancements, other than that, hairdresser can be a wonderfull form of advertisment as their clients will see their nails in the mirror

ive done l&p on a hairdresser!

my partner

hes my practise hand lol for some reason though he won't wear em for work :lol::lol:

A fantastic product for hairdressers is Young Nails "Gloss" in the Synergy Gel range. Doest not stain!!!! its brillant. Use it in place of your Finish Sealer.
