I love nails, but also do beauty & holistic treatments!! Adds variety, lol also good for add on services!! :)

I do nails, manis, pedis, spray tanning and thats it at the moment

I am hoping to eyelash & brow tinting and waxing, later on this year. I don't want to do any more than that

Nails probably would have remained my first and only passion until I developed skin sensitivity to the products and realized I needed to branch out. No regrets though and look forward to training at Champneys in September for Beauty Therapy.

i have enrolled in a beauty course a month ago..its great although I did also do eyebrow waxing.now I can offer full body waxing ,eyelash tinting, eyebrow tinting, facials and soon eyelash perming.Hopefully this will increase my home business...

Already do beauty, did l & P for a year and a bit, didnt enjoy it so gave it up. Takes a lot of patience and wasnt for me unfortunately. better at the beauty than nails

Well I'm already a beauty therapist - level 3, studying for level 4 at the moment.

I've also decided I want to do nails aswell, here in Aus it's sort of expected that a beauty therapist can do nail enhancements as well, however it's not a part of the course. So I'm also studying my level 2 in nail technology as well. It's gonna be a big year, lots of study for me.

I want to do everything!! Its always been a passion of mine, I wanted too do beauty and nails when I left school, and now at the grand old age of 23, I can finally do it!!

In sept I plan on doing beauty therapy and more nail courses. I know it will be a lot but atm I have no responsibilities so why not!

I love doing nails with a passion. But my first lot of training was in beauty therapy, so now i offer everything from waxing, facials, massage, tanning to nails too! Its a nice combination, when having a treatment, clients often say 'ooh i'll have that too' (facial etc) Meaning more income :)

I'd be very honest to say that I prefer beauty to nails.
From experience and only a personal opinion, I believe it should be one or the other. Doing nails is a full-time job in itself which is great. However when you combine the two you find (well I do), one out weighs the other in terms of the amount of time spent doing them.
I am with you on this Andrea...but i have a battle with both as i absolutely adore nails as well as beauty...so my question is...can youreally call yourself a nail artist aswell as a beauty therapist???

I meet so many beauty therapists that just love beauty and manicures, but enhancements is not something they specialise in.

After my foundation i want to have an even split if i can, between skin care and nails...but i have to be realistic i suppose:!::lol:

Whatever a therapist likes doing you always try and market that treatment more than others...

For me its skin care AND nails...:)

i offer beauty treatments (including makeup) as well as massage

i am taking more holistic courses in september

i like having a varied treatment list, i'd get bored doing the same thing all the time

hay there geeks .. xx i love the nails but i started waxing last year and its been the best ad on i have done ... its so quick and dont take up much time plus its good money for wot u do and the cost of doing it xxxxx emily xx :)

100% nails for me and nails only.

I love doing nails and want to teach it soon too, so i just want to specialize in this one thing.

Hats off to all you who do it all or just some beauty, but i feel if i can't be passionate about it, it's not worth me doing as i wouldn't give it my all.

I do nails although just started to feel confident with the nails i am producing, i have also done the cosmetic tanning couse, body wrap, waxing, swedish massage which everyone seem to love and you can charge £35 an hour for and now studying sports massage, i am seriously thinking of doing eye lash perming takes little time and can generate £25 so yes beauty and nails do go well together, why not have the business from your client that someone else would have.

Hope that helps hun good luck go for it xx:)

I don't do nails but I am a holistic therapist full time.

I am starting to veer towards beauty, and so far have done a Gena pedicure course (which I haven't done anything with), a body wrapping course and a holistic facial course, which I'm adding to next week by going on another facial course that is accreditted with the Guild of Beauty Therapists.

As the year progressing, I may possibly go into more beauty. Probably do threading next.

Hi i've done all three, Hairdressing, Nails and Beauty and Im sure that my cleints are happier coming to me for all three services than traveling from salon to salon! It sells its self ! BUT i would say that nails and beauty sell well together and that if you do either then learn the other. You wont regret it ! and your clients will love you for it:)

Im studying beauty therapy at college & Im doing my CND foundation course in march I love all areas of beauty (obviously I prefer some more over others) I think beauty/ nails etc go hand in hand (excuse the pun) after all you do mani & pedi on the beauty course so why not learn the enhancement side of it?! Im loving it! x

i'm training in nails first as this is my passion but ive been looking at doing beauty courses as add on treatments to my nail business x

at the moment its just nails for me, but so many people ask me for eyebrow/lash tinting, waxing and spray tanning, that hopefully beofre the end of the year , ill get the opportunity to take courses in one or some of these areas, fingers crossed

xxxx

well id started a beauty course before i started the nail course..
i think its worth doing beauty aswell as nails. u have more to offer clients.
im currently doing my level 3 beauty..not enjoying it one bit.
i think its because im quite creative n like to try different things...and massage and electricals aint very creative!!

was fake tanning not included in ur nail course?
when i was doin my course last year, mine had nail extensions, nail art, media nails and then tanning at the end, learned st tropez lotion and spray, and then spray tanning booth. or is it just my college that is weird and gets u to do more in a course =\ lol
